or should we just still patiently wait...?

July 7 i will arrive in Atlanta -> Chattanooga. I'm so excited !

It takes about a month for them to acknowledge. My theory is that it gives them more time to figure it out due to work load.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

Yes we filled one of those out. Haven't received any in email or text message.

We sent it with delivery confirmation, and we have checked usps and can see that they received it in their P.O. Box.

The check hasn't been cashed yet.

But i guess we will just sit back and wait for the NOA1. Just hope it will arrive soon. it would be nice with a paper in my hands, saying it's there.

It is normal to have at least a week between arrival and NOA1. It arrived on a Saturday, and they don't work then, so the first day they could have looked at it is Aug 29. With Labor Day, it has been 7 business days since arrival. That is a very normal time frame. Some times it can take up to a month to get NOA1, but I bet yours will come in the next couple of days.

Zedbraguy's timeline is the fastest I have seen! NOA1 the day after arrival! wow! That is very unusual (and great for him! :) )

AOS for my husband

5/23/12: Sent out package

  • 2 weeks later...

the check was cashed sep 9, and still no NOA1. Should we be nervous ?

Nope; you're moving now! If the check was chased, your package was accepted for initial review. They send out the NOA1 once they cash the check. Your NOA1 is probably in the mail (it's been 5 business days only) so hopefully it arrives in your mailbox soon. You don't really need the NOA1 either, so if your check is cashed, that's the most important part.

We submitted Ann and Daine's EAD/AOS/AP packages adjusting from K-1 and K-2 visas, respectively, on July 9, 2011 using FedEx. They were received at the address specified for express mail and courier packages on July 13, 2011. However, we did not get electronic notification until August 9, 2011. The checks cleared our bank account the following day. The hardcopy NOA1's arrived in the mail about a week later along with the biometrics appointment letters.

Good luck!

Joe & Ann
