Actually its faster to call NVC. Tell them you are requesting an expedite they will have you fax them or wait for a letter to mail the proof to them. You will need to meet one of the expedite criteria and have very good proof.

Then when your packet is at the US embassy you need to email them and request expedite again.

Expedite does not just transfer between them you have to request it at all stages.

You are already at a 2 month window if you are at NVC now, I don't see much time being shaved off from the NVC to embassy interview, but if a couple of weeks makes a difference then nothing will be lost if you don't try.

Again, you will be dealing with the Jamaican embassy. So good luck.

Thanks for helpful responses.dont think it would hold much weight but worth a shot in asking.our reasons would be medical.not cos specifically cis i'm pregnant but more cos i'm pregnant and ultrasound just showed low placenta and doc saying 3 rd trimester bed rest.we have a 21 month old son and my 3rd trimester starts september.

I know pregnancy is NOT a reason for expedite (thats y we never made a request to vsc) so no need for anyone to say that :)...i just needed to hear your thoughts on my specs.

is it worth a shot or just stick it out? My mind is all over the place this week so please bear with me :)

Worth asking, because you are having pregnancy complications and both you and the USC child of the beneficiary will need looking after. Additionally- hope I am not scaring you here, I assume you know the details of your condition- but there is a chance they will want to deliver you early, which should be mentioned too in the doctor's letter you submit to NVC and the embassy.

Yes they are you call the NVC and let them know and then once you have a case number then you can email the embassy and ask for an expedite on that level

The medical complications would be a reasonable grounds for asking for the expidite, but it is kind of a catch 22 IMO. If you are restricted to bed rest then travelling is definately not bed rest. Not sure how the VO will react to that. Hopefully the NVC and the consulate will push it through so you can be in one stable place quickly without all the stress and hassle of the immigration process.

Good Luck

It's definitely worth a shot, and since you didn't get NOA2 yet I would ask for an expedite at the service center - Get a letter from your doctor as well, stating full details.
