Pleasant evening everyone!

Finally sent AOS/I-864EZ and DS 230 packets to NVC this afternoon. They should have it by 10:30am tomorrow.

Praying no RFE's. I'm starting to get nervous.

Also, hubby is heading to St Lukes, Manila sometime next week for advance medical. Again, hoping for the best.

How long to wait before bugging the NVC for the case number?

I'd usually say start calling NVC a week after the NOA2 date, but there's been a backlog recently and lots of people from late June and all of July are still waiting for their case numbers.

How long to wait before bugging the NVC for the case number?

USCIS approved my petition on 06/20 and it took 1 month for NVC to assgn a case number and IIN.

On the 15th business day, I sent an email to NVCInquiry@sate.gov with USCIS/WAC # NOA2 as an attachment. Included petitioner & beneficiary info (name, date of birth, WAC #, phone and email address for each of us).

Yearssssss ago, when I applied for a US Visa, I turned in my passport in the morning and came back that same afternoon with visa stamped on my passport. Things have changed since then, I hear.

Okay, I have what will be a monumentally stupid question, but it's late and I'm tired. When doing EP for Montreal and sending in the I864, I assume I scan in the signed form to pdf? And do I send both form and evidence in the same pdf or separately?

And yes, I heard that years ago, you can go in the same day or next and get the passport back from Montreal. That's no longer unless you have a real emergency.

Yup, you scan everything into PDF format. And then you combine all pages (cover sheet, I-864, tax info, etc) into ONE pdf file. And then you send that one file to NVC to their EP email.

NVC received my file today. The operator gave me the standard 10-15 business days for it to be scanned into to the system. I am curious as to what has been the average time from received by NVC to into the system? I know it has been on the longer side recently.

Your file reached NVC sooo much quicker than they have been doing recently. We haven't checked yet because we had seen how long they were taking but now we will call them in a few days to check on progress.

I'll post my timeline if it helps anyone. I got a SIF today. So something like 34 days from NVC receipt to SIF. Good luck to everybody!

Yup - immediately. Operator was able to confirm case complete. Also said August appointments were gone, as expected. So its Sept or Oct. My embassy doesn't seem to do as many IVs as other countries.

Just keep calling NVC about your interview date. You can also start calling DOS now and inquiring about it as well. Hopefully you won't have to wait too long to hear of the interview date. Good luck!
