Which is better to send or file your petitions? Send it to Service Centers or to the Lockbox? What is better, do it yourself or get a travel agency and let them do the visa application

You send it where it tells you to in the instructions, if not it will be delayed.

This is really entirely up to you and your husband. If you both don't mind putting all the information together and have a lot of patience, get started by reading the guides here.

If you decide to do this yourselves, take a good few days or a week to read the guides and samples for the forms you will be filing. If and when you're ready to put everything together and you get stuck, post on VJ for help and guidance. Plenty of people here have gone through the process you're about to go through and are more than willing to help.

On the other hand, if you do not feel comfortable doing this yourselves, look for a reputable visa processing agency.

Though I filed for a K-1 visa, I don't think there is a huge difference. My fiance and I worked together to put everything by ourselves. With the help of this site, we sent the application April 1 and were approved June 24. So, you can definitely do this on your own. But, again, it is really up to you and your confidence level.

Good Luck!

Usually, if the USCitizen petitioner is IN the USA when filing, the I-130 is sent off to the Chicago Lockbox address.

Rarely is the I-130 sent directly to a service center.

Sorry I just looked at what I wrote. My question is What is the best way to send the petitions, through service centers or to the Lock box? My husband is from Michigan and he is working in Wisconsin.

Thanks

Your only option is to send the file to the lockbox, the lockbox serves as an intake facility. The service center will only take the file from the lockbox.
