I think I found out why the NVC is too busy to find our I-130's in the mailroom.

I opened the K-1 full timelines, and did a reverse sort on "NVC receive" column.

All those fiancee 129's are being pushed right on through the system.

Okay - I get it... they are in love just as we are... but this bothers me for some reason.

Umm... I'd hardly count 26+ days as being "pushed through." We're all feeling hopeless here.

no not quite... Put on the filter so that only California petitions are shown and then sort by NOA2.. Then it shows only 1 NVC receive since 6/20.. California I-129s are in the same boat as California I-130s.

I had a really rude person at NVC last night - they are usually nice if unhelpful - I think part of it was that I was answering too fast. When he said "Do you have your notice in front of yo..." I cut him off there and told him I don't but I do have that paragraph memorized and it said "your I-130 is approved and sent to the NVC in New Hampshire". He then came back with a very gritted teeth angry voice "I need to know the DATE sir".. I said "June 20th" to which he said (again in a very aggressive tone) "What YEAR sir?".. .So I paused to let some dead air make him think about what he just asked for and hope this was one of those calls he is being monitored.. I was about to say "Is that supposed to be funny?" then something better hit "If I say 2010 would that give me a different answer besides 'call back Friday?' I'm guessing not".. "Hopefully it will be here when you call back Friday"

Then I played the 'not my question game' :

me: What happens if I call back Friday and it still isn't here? You all insist there is no problem with California cases so clearly I am an aberration way out of the norm.. what is the special procedure for cases way off the norm like mine?

him: It should be here Friday

me: I am sure, but that was not my question.. If it is not here Friday what happens then?

him: Sometime there are small delays but they always get here eventually

me: I understand, but that was not my question.. This is the seventh time I've been told to call back at a later time.. My question is what will be the procedure if I call back yet again on the day that you say and it has again not arrived?

him: Sir, there is nothing we can do for you without the case, we have to wait for it to arrive.

me: right, totally understand.. but my question was...

him: YES, we would ask you to call back later.

me: ah! ok gotcha, you have a good night.

I know its all pointless, totally unproductive.. but if they feel some pain on their phone calls and maybe they will put pressure on USCIS and get the problem cleaned up somewhat.

I don't believe it.. Prove it to me and I still won't believe it. -Ford Prefect

I checked the same way and I just see one case of July NOA2 but for that all other cases are prior to 6/18. So I don't think you are right.

Yes, the VSC cases are getting processed and hence the issue is certainly with CSC - all the staff may be working in approving I-130s (due to some previous compaints) leaving skeleton staff working on completing the paper work of the approvals to be dispatched to NVC (I don't think the delay is in the mailroom, as people are getting NOA2 notices).

Hi all, I just talked to the NVC and the lady told me that they don't know why our files aren't coming in and they are trying to figure it out.

I am convinced that the delay is not at NVC but at CSC only. NVC is processing all the cases sent to them by VSC.

I am of the opinion that CSC has moved all their staff (who ever is not gone on summer vacation) to I-130 processing/ approvals (due to some previous complaint). Since the dispatch department is also manned, we are all getting the NOA2 notices.

I think there in no or skeleton staff working on preparing the case papers ready (approvals) to be dispatched to NVC. Here they have a 30 days time cushion and hence we are seeing cases slowly getting to NVC around this timeframe.

Well all the best to all.

Wow that's amazing, don't you think? I never thought I'd get such an honest answer out of them, even if they are just placing the blame. But yes, I think it's certain the CSC is to blame, not NVC.

Maybe I ran it a different way, becuase I remember seeing I129 NOA2 dates after mine that are already at NVC.

Last night I pulled data for IR1/CR1 NOA2 dated 31-Mar-2011 to now.

Interesting trends, but overall stats fail to capture the past month's issue.

Vermont typically takes longer from NOA1 to NOA2:

VT avg= 129 days, VT median = 123 days

CA avg= 121.5 days, CA median = 113 days

Time from NOA2 --> NVC receive, VT typically faster

VT avg = 9.11 days, VT median = 8 days

CA avg = 14.9 days, CA median = 14 days

an overall trend of VT petitions taking 6 days longer from NOA1--> NVC

However, if we look at the "receives" for NOA2 dates after June 21, 2011:

all 6 are for Vermont, and they are the following #days: 7,7,1,6,11,2 (calendar days, not biz days)

example: 3 NVC rcv's from VT on June 29 = 2 NOA2 of June 22, 1 NOA2 on June 23

The CSC forwarding trend month by month show a huge slow down for the past month. We have felt it, and the numbers prove it. These are the numbers I need to show my Congresssional Rep so he can see it's not just me.

When I have a chance I will boil it down to a few concise numbers. :)

This is the second time in 20yrs I have been through this process, there is no reason acceptable to why and when we get our notifications, we get them when we get them, I was married 20yrs ago in Houston, have 2 Texas/British boys whom I have not seen since last November I have missed all their birthdays, our 20 th wedding anniversary, Christmas and New Year with my hubby and boys, I miss them all and look forward to being reunited with them soon.

Thanks A&M for all your efforts. Please keep your congressional representative appraised of the situation - it may come handy for future aprovals at the least.

Yes, the NOA2 to NVC of CSC has not been good and has been increasing over the last couple of moths. I am glad that my case is not alone - meaning, mine is not a case of papers lost in the transit and I am glad about that.

Yes, we gained sometime in I-130 process and we are loosing some in NOA2 - NVC transfer but I am glad that I-130 approval process is done, which is a bigger one (some are waiting since last year to get their approvals) and we are certain to get our case numbers though a little late. Of course each stage is important and we wish everything is better and easy.

After seeing a few June 17th NOA2s at NVC, I hope we see some June 20th NOA2 cases (June 18 & 19 were week end days) at NVC today. All the best to all.

Okay that's fair. Well I only see one: NOA2 7/14, NVC receipt 7/18 (from CSC exclusively, as that is where the issue lies). Well if this will become a trend, I'll tell you, I will be MAD. How about first come first served?? Maybe they listed the wrong service center, that smells like VSC to me.

LOL - our I-130s were approved much before many other that have filed much before us (some are still waiting). I am sure those are mad seeing even the April filers also getting approvals.

Having said that I am honest to admit that I too will be mad.
