Congrats!! Talked to the Congressman that I wrote to a few weeks ago. They said I should have a decision on my case by Dec 8! If not, I can put in an expedite request. Let's hope something happens!! Staying positive.

I-129F Sent: 2011-06-07

I-129F NOA1: 2011-06-10

6 months, 5 days from NOA1 to NOA2; No RFE's.

Contacted local congressman to help expedite case at VSC for NOA2. (Definitely helped!)

For all Junes still waiting, idd like to share some good news. Once you receive the NOA2 it is only a matter of weeks (depending on the country) but for example for us once we received the NOA 2 On Nov 15th, one week and a half later NVC has received it and they shipped the application documents to the country consulate within only ew days after receiving it. They use expedited shipping service and the consulate received the package in less than a week we had packet 3 which was delivered by email to my the petitioner. Check my timeline for more precise dates.

All I am saying is the once you have the NOA 2 is faster that you would think.

Ok i have a question. I sent my k-1 package pack in june i got a letter saying it was recieved on june 23 2011. Its been over 5 months ago. I used a lawyer to helped me with the case. A friend of mind recommend me to call my congress man but i dont know who that person is for north carolina.

Hi, I did not have to do anything to request this, I believe it's the custom to send it like this for certain countries.

I didn't know myself that they would email the package.

gotcha...ok. My approval came yesterday!!!!! omg im so happy not sure whether its the local congressmans office that did it or it was my email tot he VSC...i think it the congressman's office becus my friend that happen to work at the congressman's office said when she spoke to them the lady at the VSC pulled the file right there and then. and we should have back in the next 5 days...next day i hear back!! yay!

We are June 18 filers and our petition was approved on September 12. I had my medical last Nov 21-22 and had my visa interview last December 16, 2011. It's been the best Christmas gift for us!

  • 06-28-2011: I-129F sent to Dallas
  • 07-05-2011: NOA1 (CSC)
  • 01-05-2012: NOA2 (184 days since NOA1)
  • 01-13-2012: NVC passed
  • 01-19-2012: Embassy received our case
  • 02-14-2012: Interview PASSED! :D K-1 Visa Approved! :D
  • 03-08-2012: POE
  • 04-07-2012: Wedding!

AOS/EAD Timeline (04.26.2012 - 12.13.2012)

  • 04-26-2012: I-485 and I-765 sent to Chicago Lockbox

Almost 7 months for us, we are with Vermont.

All we can do is wait, exercise yet more patience, dig deep and hold out hope of receiving the NOA2 one day real soon.

We are all one day closer :yes:
