As i have said before i waited 6 months for an NOA2 and a total of 9 months until interview.

This was before IMBRA.

The CSC has a contact that allows lawyers to email in to a separate address and thats what my lawyer did. We found out i was in security checks.

After about 6 months i got in touch with my senator and within a week we where approved. Coincidence or not, we will never know.

If your recent touches are actually someone picking up your file, then I'd say that's good news. Just remember that the web site is not always updated like they say. My petition was approved on October 17, 2005 but when the USCIS finally got around to updating the web site, the date listed was November 8th. So, check your mail from the post office, it might have good news sooner than the web site.

Hang in there. After the approval there are many more things to do, all of which will lead to your eventual happiness. The USCIS is probably one of the most frustrating and secretive organizations in the federal government. We all know about the delays from IMBRA and the huge backlog. Have you checked out the statistics from the USCIS about how many petitions they receive each month. Their problem is they don't know how to frame the results they are doing in a positive manner.

Just have confidence that you will be approved and start making your plans. Both of your lives is about to change, hopefully for the better. So, get ready. The same thing goes for the others that have been waiting a long time. It will happen, just have confidence and patience.

Today I officially hit 187 days from NOA1 , which is exaclty half a year or six months. I'm pissed. I have contacted my senators to no effect. Anyone have any ideas who I can yell at?

I dont really see that you can complain to anybody as your NOA1 is March 9th, and they are currently processing March 8th..

Christ. Gimme a break... that date is a convenience for them, not me.

Just called them and they told me that I need to be 30 days past the date on the site. I then told them that the date has gone backwards in the past and seems to be random. They said "Yes, it will do that."

Oooookie.

I know how you feel, we are have been waiting the same time you have (our NOA1 is the same date!), with the exception that we don't even have the IMBRA RFE yet. We called last Monday too, and she said she put an inquiry into our case (got a report# from her) but that it will take 30 days to get an answer from them!!! She did try to tell us that our NOA1 at CSC was the date they received our application (June 15th) and not the one we got from Nebraska (March 9th), can you believe that!!!!!!

We have contacted senators, congressman, even the CSC director and nothing has worked. So there's not much more left we know we can do, the one thing we know is that we are tired of waiting :(

Wow... I think I would have bitten the head off of any USCIS worker who tried to tell me my NOA is from June.

If that was the case, we'd probably both be approved by now

Thank you jabree, that's very sweet of you.

BTW, I don't think you are selfish at all :)

Onyxrev, we felt the same way, but like they say: you get better answers trying to be nice to them and we at least got her to put the inquiry for us, not much........but better than nothing I guess.

I'm with the Hornet. I've been a military man myself for 16 plus years but I believe our country has gotten too passive. We are led by the government and either people are too lazy or they are too tired from sucking down cheeseburgers to get off their tired asses to do anything. I realize this really has nothing to do with the topic, but Hornet has me all riled up.

Oh, let's complain about gas prices but continue to buy 11 mpg gas-guzzling SUV's and trucks. When will people realize they are the problem and not the solution? Gas prices are up because demand is up and demand is up because we continue to use more...this just typifies the problems that we have. People refuse to be practical because "it's their right" which is total b.s. Be conscientious.

/off of soapbox. Damn you, Hornet.

Yeah, I was talking to a random someone at a coffeeshop who was considering marrying his girlfriend, who's in the country right now on a student visa. He asked whether he should apply for a K1 visa and I was like... "No no no no no! Marry her now!!"
