Hi everybody, I'm new on this forum but I have a little understanding of the what most people are discussing on the forum. We really need to have a good understanding on how it works. The completion of your case at NVC has nothing to do with visa availability. What matters most is your PRIORITY DATE.Meaning that if your case is completed within six months or even less than that, it will have to sit with them at NVC until the date becomes current. So, here the key word is how current is your priority date? anything less than being current, you have to keep your fingers crossed and keep checking on the monthly visa bulletin. Calling them will not even solve it.Finally, I pray for everyone of us that have families outside the US that God will give us the patience to be able wait till the time comes.

Goodluck

You are correct. The current date for F2A ( regular) is 22Mar08 but it can move around many months ( backward or forward) in a single months time. Hopefully it won't be forever or you don't age out if you are a child.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Just a bit of reaction here. I think that the case completion has significance because it is the start of the reckoning of waiting time. It couldnt be years, don't you think so? I have been calling in the forum for someone who have been waiting for an interview for more than a year but nobody has responded yet.

sign in fail is a NVC timetick.

those who must wait for a visa # to become available don't play at NVC until their casefile becomes current, again based on priority date.

So, any 'sign in fail'? wow - yer already done with casefile processing at NVC, but the visa # was available as you started NVC processing (which meant you waited for some time already, prior, after USCIS approval).

WHEW !

get a sign in fail? you'll get an interview, soonish.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
