i just received my email and text message today saying that "On May 10, 2012, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283." finally! Now all i need is waiting for it!

Hey Joky, Congrats on your approval! :thumbs: Happy to see another good news for fellow July filers from VCS.

By the way, reading your post, I can see that you are given only 30 days for your new GC to be mailed to you. Hmmm... mine is 60 days... I wonder why and I have 0 clue, do you know? :star: Perhaps I need to read other's approval to get an idea, I guess...? :innocent:

well the approval notice that i got in mailbox was saying 60days, but i received an email and i looked up on uscis website which says they are ordering my card and ill be getting it in 30days!

I would say not until next month or whenever they would update that I-751 to VSC, and since it is at July 4 you will prob be told that we are processing Jul 4! good luck.

I got a response in the mail from USCIS. Bad news, they want more evidence. I have no more evidence to give them. I gave them 3 years of leases, joint auto insurance, costco cards, photos, and 2 affidavits. They want more evidence of joint financial responsibilities. But our finances do not work like that. He doesn't have a job and is a dependent on his family. I have a job and money goes into my account. He's responsible for utilities, I'm responsible for groceries. We don't have joints accounts, shared tax returns (he's a dependent on his family), joint utility bills, or joint loans (we've never borrowed money for anything). As I mentioned, we have joint auto insurance that I pay for and that covers him. Other than that, we have nothing further from the list of evidence of financial records USCIS requires. What to do?!

So, at exactly 10 o'clock this morning, we finally received this famous email...

"Your Case Status: Card/ Document Production

On May 14, 2012, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you."

Now, we'll see how long it will take for the card to hit in the mail box. :star:
