new affidavit for aos interview?

Hey guys! I submitted my AOS documentation in early October and I have my interview in March. Do I need to have a new Affidavit of Support at the interview? The interview letter says to bring it if I haven't already submitted it, but, from reading a lot of folks' interview stories, I conjectured that some did have a new one. Thanks for your input!

I am not doing a new one. I applied for AOS in October and have the interview in February. Mostly because nothing has changed in my support - I may file the 2005 taxes (jointly) and take a copy but not a new I864. Good luck

I had the same question. I did a affidavit of support in June when I did the AOS application. My wifes interview is next month in Feb. Do I need another stinking I 864. That will be the 3rd one.

You only need to do a new one if there has been a change to your income or assets.... I would take this years Tax Return if you have it and some upto date pay slips.....

You won't need a new one, just need info that it's still current -- paystubs, maybe an updated letter of employment.

By the time we went for our AOS interview, Jerry (the USC in our relationship!) had received a raise and we had filed our 2005 taxes. We took evidence (and copies) to the interview -- the changes in the affadavit were notated in the relevant places by our interviewer, he took the copies for the file, and it was fine.

I only brought paystubs and an updated employment letter.

We didn't take a new one...just took updated employment confirmation letters and a couple of paystubs. No biggie.

He didn't want to look at our tax returns either. I think as other posters have mentioned that you should only do another affidavit if things really really have changed, otherwise you'll have to wait on them processing that affidavit (basically our Officer told us that bringing a new one is a bit of a pain in the butt).

I had a new affidavit of support form for the interview, but the officer who interviewed us did not want it as she said I already had one in my file

Thanks for all the responses - this is really helpful. We'll be going to our AOS interview Feb 15, and I'm just hoping I get my darn W-2s in time to file 2005 taxes. But I've learned how to patiently wait!
