K1 help plz, package at embassy

Hello VJ family i have a few questions or concerns and need help, I sent in my k1 package back in March and it's already approved but my problems is I haven't seen my fiance since April 2009 but we do keep in contact and all , now i want to know if that's going to raise any red flag or anything for such a long absent why i haven't been visited , well i don't know what to do, in my defense as ya'll know there was an earthquake in Haiti earlier last year, and i was planning to go but didn't have the chance to do so ( safety issue) , do ya'll think they are going to ask for dual interview? or should i go with him to the interview? or just wait and see how it's going to play out, I don't want him to be denied because of that.

any answers or suggestions would be greatly appreciated thkx

The earthquake may be a mitigating factor, but you have to have seen him in person within two years, and you are outside that window. Better call the consulate tomorrow and see what they say.

if you read the I-129F instructions on page one where it talks about who is eligible to file the petition it says:

...have met in person within 2 years before your filing of this petition..

It would be ridiculous to expect something that isn't in your control (the approval time) to be your deadline. Which is why the deadline is that you have met in the last 2 years BEFORE filing. Once you've filed that deadline no longer applies... HOWEVER if your SO is from a high fraud country more visits is better than less. You being at the interview would probably work well in your favour (plus you get to see your fiancee again )

Actually if you read the instructions and the OP's post they filed their petition before the 2 year deadline and the filing of the petition is what matters (not approval).

Another thing you should do, is to check the bulletin and browse through the NVC website. I believe the some visa restrictions changes have been made due to the earthquake in Haiti.
