Hi all,

my brother (U.S. citizen) filled for me an I-130 application on 2009.

i have some questions:

1- I heard that the Texas services center is the fastest one, only takes 5 month, is that true?

2- Can i change the services center?

your i130 hasn't been approved yet?

no you can't change service center. it depends on where your brother lives.

plus the whole prcess for siblings takes more than 10 years, so it really desn't matter how long it takes for the i130 to be processed.

and even if it only took 5 months, you still have to wait more than 10 years until your priority date becomes current.

Still a 10 year wait. Review/UNDERSTAND the process, 5 months to approve the application, then 10 years before a visa is available. So the count is still 10 years, so continue on with your life in your country, you have a long wait.

It's actually more like 11 years, and yes, from Sudan too. The only countries that have different wait times is Mexico (15 years) and Philippines (23 years).
