!!!

Wife had interview on the 1st of June, went in to the embassy 8 a.m. , walked out at 10 a.m. with passport collection token, Alhumdulillah :) (The phone network had issues as usual for international calls in Pakistan, so I was up the whole night here until we finally connected at 3 pm her time, LOL)

She will be picking up her passport in a week or so in Karachi.

All she was asked were a few straightforward and generally un-intrusiveness questions;

when were we married, what does husband do, where will she live, who are husband's family, does she plan to work in US?

Will be going in September for the family affairs and bring her over!!!

Now for a couple questions for the resident experts:

I had moved about 3 weeks before the interview; I filed the required address change with USCIS and informed the NVC of the address change. The NVC said that my wife should bring up the issue of the address change at the interview, which she did multiple times... however, she said that they barely took notice and basically had her sign DS-230 part II without making any changes/taking any proof of address change or noting the address change at all (so permanent and mailing address in US is listed as my old address on her approved visa app??).......... So, is that normal? and what does it mean for later on? We are concerned about it for when she enters to US-- as I understand it (with no real basis, haha), the green card is issued and mailed automatically after entry into the US-- am I missing something?

The other question is, is there anything to worry about/prepare for at the point-of-entry?

Yeah sorry... in the too-good-to-be-true mode!!

I would MAKE SURE at the POE that they take note of the address change, but I am sure if you submitted everything it will be fine. But she needs to be insistent that they make a note of it at the POE to ensure everything is sent to the right place

Nothing else really to prepare at the POE, research your POE to see the reviews (by clicking the "Reviews" button at the top of the page) to see what people suggest

Good luck

At the POE, your wife needs to tell the CBP officer that she would like to make change of address. He might ask you why this was not taken care of prior to the POE but all she has to say is she tried but no action was taken by the NVC or the embassy. You don't need to worry too much about the POE but don't say things like.. oh, i am only going to be here for 2 or 3 weeks and go back to my country for 2-3 years..
