They will consider it, they may not approve it unless you can prove that your life is in direct danger.

Good luck

Normally expedites have to be initiated by the USC asking to allow their fanmily to be process quicker because of danger to the non USC. It is approved because there is a visa number is available. So if your spouse is a USC and a visa number is immediately available and you can prove you are in a dangerous place then you can ask.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

We were only able to expedite at USCIS they denied expedite at embassy...my husband is also from karachi but we were able to get an interview date within a month n half from NVC complete... if you have your case complete at NVC in march why do you have to wait to get interview? Is your spouse a USC or a permanent resident? It maybe that if they are not a citizen you have to wait until the visa becomes available for your case. Otherwise USC dont have to wait for visas to become available.

NVC has nothing to do with interview expedites...it is up to the embassy.

please fill in timeline so we know what your filing for

my case falls in F2A...my mother( green card holder) is sponsoring me....

i dont know what to do...this wait is making me suicidal..!!

just have faith...your visa will be available soon...bcos she isnt a usc you must wait until your visa becomes available ..thats why they havent scheduled your interview yet...and to be honest she can try to expedite thru the embassy but my husband is in same situation and we sent 5 diff pdf files of the situation and we were still denied expedite thru embassy...it is quite difficult....just keep preparing for your interview and it will happen soon...watch the visa bulletins...they change often...stay strong and have faith :)

Off the topic: Seems like Pakistani Petitioners are all almost being called in during June, as is my husband.

About your case, I think is really difficult to get anything expedited with NVC before your actual interview date arrives,

than maybe you can petition for an earlier date with the US embassy in the UAE. Unfortunately Pakistan doesn't have an

embassy, only consulates, which can't do much. I suggest you call NVC and speak with an operator directly

and they will provide the best solution for you.

You will dial +00603-334-0700 mon-fri 8am to midnight easter time.

Tell them your case number and whatever the issue is.

JUST A NOTE- you will NEED to have proof of why you think you're in danger. Because if the whole of Karachi is

under danger than your just one of the many civilians. But I guess you can try. Call and see what happens and

let us know! good luck !

This is wrong, The embassy is in Islamabad, it is an embassy, not a consulate. http://islamabad.usembassy.gov/ Karachi, Lahore, and Peshawar are where the consulates are located. I hope this clears things up for those confused. Please don't view it as an attack, as this happens sometimes when posting, it is just so people don't have the wrong information.

Visas classes that are numerically limited are NOT expedate qualified. You must wait until your priority date becomes current be it one more year or 10. There is no way to hurry it through. You must wait until all of those ahead of you in that visa class are processed. Believe me they all want to be reunited with their famliies and they all must wait.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
