Finally after all most 5 months. My question is what happens now. Can anyone offer any insight on the next steps involved? I have read it goes to the NVC for processing then off to the embassy. So what is packet 3 and packet 4 that I have seen people talk about. Will those be mailed out either to me or my fiancee?

Hey this is cool Khymster.... congratulations!

Look at the guide (Guides link at top of this page)- it tells you what to prepare to send to your fiancee when you get the NOA2.

Also look at the Embassy for Indonesia site to see what they need for the interview and your fiancee can get proof of ongoing relationship etc. They will send her the Packet 3, which tells her but if you want to get information ready now she can check the details on the Embassy site.

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file
Infopass Apt - they sorted through everything - our 2011 and 2012 file keep getting mixed up - getting us a Case# (still waiting) Dec- Infopass Appt- expecting to get a case # in about a week ..Still no Case number
Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere,and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .

Congrats on your NOA2. Now you can head towards filing your K1 Visa. As someone mentioned, start reading about what your consulate requires for the K1 application. It will help you get everything together that you need to send to your fiancee prior to the interview. It will take a lot of stress off of you to be prepared ahead of time than to be running around at last moment.

Also, probably you can go to your regions forum and read about the consulate and next steps regarding your journey. Lots of good info there.

Good Luck and hope the rest of the journey goes smoothly for you.
