Hi everyone! We send our AOS package on Feb 28 they got it the 3rd of March, then they issue our NOAs (EAD/AP/AOS) on March 22. On April 11 they transfer our case to California. On April 28 they approved his EAD/AP but we still are without biometrics, a card is NOT in production. We open a service request but no anwser yet. We went to an Infopass and they told us that they can't help us, because in their system no one has ask for a biometric letter to be issued.

They told us that no RFE are issued for our cases, that EAD/AP is approved but that the card is not in production because there are no biometrics, but at the same time no one has ask for a biometrics letter to be issued.

Has it happend to someone else, any other options so we can find out why they still have not produce the biometrics letter?

The only anwser we got at our service center was "Come back in one month to see what can we do"

Any help or suggestion will be much appreciated!

I do know of at least one person who didn't have their biometrics letter after a while so they went to the place where they WOULD have biometrics with their NOA1s and the office was able to print a biometrics letter there and then. Maybe you should consider giving that a go?

Hi :star: thanks for the replay. We did, we went to our local office and the immigration official told us that we could do no biometrics, because in their system it shows no biometrics letter at all. She told that no one has ask to produce a biometrics letter on behalf of our cases. She told EAD/AP is approved already a month ago but she could do nothing for us . Then she told us to come back in a month to see what she could do  No idea what to do :crying:

On June 2 we called USCIS (day 90 after they got his AOS/EAD/AP papers), they transferred us to a supervisor. The supervisor told that all was fine with our case, that EAD/AP were approved on April 28th and that some how they have his biometrics on their system, so no need of new biometrics . He also told that he will launch something to activate the printing of the combo card. We will see, the status at USCIS has not change, no touches at all. Our hope is to have some kind of news next week.

So you got approved for EAD/AP without biometrics? Wow! Is that the same for the GC, no need for biometrics? I am happy for you because its such an unusual case, I don't see why they won't just let you do it?? Goodluck! :)

Today we go biometrics letter but for our AOS case. It dont mention anywhere EAD/AP. We got this letter as response to a service request we open on may 6. In the service request we were asking why there was no biometrics letter for EAD/AP, but in the letter they send us as an answer to this request, there is no mention of EAD/AP.

We are happy for the biometrics for AOS but still confused and unsure if we will really get his work permit soon.

Hi thanks for the replay! I double check they biometrics appointment and it only mentions AOS. Also the latter that came with it only mentions AOS. WOW your wait for biometrics was terrible. It never pass in my mind that AOS/EAD/AP will take longer and be more complicated than our k-1 process. :bonk:
