So I mailed off my I751 last week (priority, delivery confirmation and all), I was already behind in mailing it (one month) and my package still has not been delivered....my green card expires July 7th..

My package still shows that it's on it's way to it's destination. I have called usps twice, once on Thursday and the guy said that someone would look into it for me, he gave me a confirmation number and said I would be called back in 2 business days, that never happened. So I just called now and at first the woman said that it's showing that it's being verified by a 3rd party or something......so I started getting very upset saying "Uh this is my entire life!!!" and so she put an express urgent note on it and said I would be getting a call within 1 business day as to the whereabouts of my package, she also flagged it as extremely important....I then asked her again where my package was and she said at this point she doesn't know.....and I asked her about the third party thing and she said she never said that......what?!? am I imagining things???

I am FREAKING here, what the hell do I do? Do I put together a whole new package and mail that off? I mean, this is unreal!!!!

Should I contact someone at USCIS...

I am having a heart attack here!!!!

Let's Keep the Song Going!!!

I am sorry to hear that. I would suggest you to wait till tomorrow and by the afternoon if you do not get any response back call them back, and if you do not get any info again, you should call USCIS and they can verify if your name and the form have been put in the system. I know our lives are in that package so just take a deep breathe wait till tomorrow, ask USCIS if you should re-submit it and try to talk to a high level officer.

Let us know

No, I would resend the package yet. At times the USPS, is not as efficient as other carriers like UPS & Fed Ex. Go to the site.

http://www.usps.com/shipping/trackandconfirm.htm?from=home_header&page=trackandconfirm

Wait until after 5 PM (your time). Enter your tracking number. The site does not automatically update. My package arrived to the Chicago Lockbox on a Saturday. The office was closed, and it was not delivered until Monday. However, I did not see the update until Tuesday. I thought I was going to have an anxiety attack, but it all worked out. Good luck to you!

Sometimes the USPS tracking # doesn't update right away, maybe your package already in USCIS office, you should keep a lookout on your checking account and see if your check has been cashed or not, We've always used USPS priority mail with delivery confirmation throughout this entire process and everything always gets there within 2 business days, no need to waste money using Fedex or UPS, one day faster wont make any difference.

Just take a deep breath and contact USCIS if anything after 30 days.

It'll be ok. I use USPS for a lot of shipping, priority with D.C. Sometimes it doesn't show or update promptly. Sometimes the package won't show as delivered at all and sometimes it won't update until a few days after it is delivered. It'll be ok. Do check online if your check has been cashed, that's a good sign if it has been.

The upside is even if it is lost, and the likelihood is slim, you have time to recopy your file and send it again. We really cut it close and didn't file as right away. We send all ours through Express Overnight, and although I've read on here it isn't necessary, I felt more comfortable with that.

I would be so mad if I was you!! As others have said, I would wait until tomorrow and hopefully USPS will have gotten you an answer. If you haven't gotten confirmation from them by Wednesday I would call USCIS to ask what you should do. Hopefully you kept a copy of your packet and can just copy it again. If you didn't, I would highly recommend doing so once you put the new packet together. I make a complete copy of every single thing I send to USCIS (I still have a copy of my entire K1 packet from three years ago). Good luck!

Not uncommon. If they fail to scan it in and that happens, it won't show up on the site.

Thats good news Congrats. For anyone else who is shipping and want total tracking use UPS or Fed Ex (prefer UPS Job security lol) They both track everything on every shipment at every point. They update every 15 minutes of destination scan no matter if it is at delivery point or sort hubs, planes truck it does not matter. That is why they cost more remember you get what you pay for. Most of USPS priority is moved by Fed Ex and UPS (extra room on planes) but they are stand by contracts so if no room on planes they do not move. Just some friendly advice. Daniel

If I want to use a courier service (such as FedEx or UPS) to send the package, do I send it to the PO Box address listed on the I-751 instructions (USCIS California Service Center, P.O. Box 10751, Laguna Niguel, CA 92607-1075) OR is there a physical address that must be used?

Thanks in advance for your help!
