I have heard at one point but can not remember where that we as the petitioner must make sure the beneficiary has a round trip ticket in case they are sent back to their country at POE. Does anyone know if this is true??

Mar 31, 2011 - Received Packet 3
Apr 05, 2011 - Submitted Packet 3 directly to Embassy
Apr 06, 2011 - Will call to ask for interview schedule

Apr 04, 2013 - VSC cashed cheque
Apr 06, 2013 - Received NOA 1 letter
July 29, 2013- Approved! WEE!!
Aug 02, 2013- Received 10 yr GC!

We filed for the K-3 Spousal visa, but some say they will change it to the CR1 visa.

depend on what visa. If visitor POE would want to know when he/she is leaving the country, but if immigrant of course you don't need a return ticket. Obviously you will stay for good.

You need one when using the VWP.

Thank you. Very good information. I had heard the reason for the return ticket is because Immigration can deny you entry into the US even when your Immigrant Visa is approved.
