New York takes notoriously longer than any other office in the country. Over 6 months for getting an interview in NYC is not uncommon at all.. it's hard to tell how you compare to others though without knowing what process you are doing. You are posting in this forum, so are you adjusting from a K-1? Or from some other non-immigrant visa?

My wife is citizen, and my green card application has exceeded six months, I had infopass once, they said to give them time. What should I do now? Do you have any suggestions? PS: I am in New York

:time: it's hard to give you accurate advice without all the information. What visa are you AOSing from?

I got a notice for interview 8 months after I filed AOS. Adjusting from F2B. From what I heard from others and what my lawyer told me, 8 months is (sadly) average for NYC.

I am adjusting from the F-1 visa

Then you should be posting here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/130-adjustment-of-status-from-work-student-tourist-visas/

i am CR1 case i-130

You're doing removal of conditions, not AOS, completely different process. You should be posting here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/86-removing-conditions-on-residency-general-discussion/

Got it ,, Thanks .. but what the diffrant ?

It's completely different forms, different payments, different office/personnel handling it, different waiting periods.. absolutely everything is different. You don't even apply for AOS which is what the OP is applying for. Completely different.
