Yes of course... I call her twice a day..once when she awakes and when she goes to bed.. and we email daily and yahoo messenger/cam when we get to it..

It like just putting one foot forward..and then the next...next... just going through the paces...not wanting to do much with the new Apt.. because I want her to fix it her way when she gets here...Not wanting to go out with friends...because of my call times... 11pm and 1pm... I'm just a shell here waiting for her to fill my life.. with her laughter...smile..voice.... Oh God I got it BAD tonight... :help: We need a Support group...hahhahaha

I really miss my Baby. Today has been one of my better days because I felt joyous thinking about all of the little things that make our relationship special. One of my female officemates asked me to define affectionate, and I described some of the things that occur between my fiance and I . She started crying because she was so touched. We're all so lucky to have found that special someone. I'm usually really sad because I'm missing her, but today was a good day. However tomorrow I may be sad again. It's the ups and downs of dealing with the separation and the K1 process.

I keep busy but yes, I feel like my life is kind of on hold. On the cusp of big change. And the closer it gets, the less I feel like doing stuff here. I just want to get over there and start living life together already.

(but it still scares me a little. ;) )

i agree...i.feel the same.......its almost as if i,m just going through the motions of living my life here........and gezzzzzzzzzzz..i got alonggg longg road ahead!!....lol but hey goodd things come to those who wait....i go to bed earlier knowing that the sooner i wake up the sooner another day starts, and ends and the sooner i,m closer to starting the begining of the rest of my life with my soulmate....x.but boy! the rollercoaster ride of emotions is hellish!..lol

I feel like I'm the only person who thinks that the separation that we encounter due to this process is unnatural. It’s awful, but I have encountered time and time again on this site where people has posted like... oh it's just the process. To me they're out of their minds. No offense but I think that you are all crazy that think that way. IMO! It’s hell being away from my baby waiting on this very long process to conclude. I have also read that you could go and visit. Right and true! However, who’s rich, who has tons of vacation, who doesn’t have other responsibilities, and so on. This entire process is about uniting families and not going on vacation or visiting. Anyway, I’m just unloading. This is therapy for me. Cheers!

My life is on hold. I do nothing but think about him, about this visa process, moving to the US, medical exams, police records, forms.... it's kinda sick!

But I talked to a cousin of mine that is a psychologist... and she said it wasn't just kind of sick, she said it could really make me sick if I didn't change the way I reacted to all this mess around me. She said something that I'll never forget. Maybe I always knew it, but when I heard it from someone else it became more real. She said that life is movement and that I should live the life I have right now, enjoy things I have right now, have fun with my life here and the people that I'll miss when I'm gone. And not stop everything and just wait for the future. She said I should consider myself very happy because the future I'm waiting for is almost a certainty. It will happen, it's just a matter of when. Most of people don't have that. The future they wish and hope for is far from being a certainty. So, because mine is, I can let myself enjoy the right now knowing that what will come will be even better.

Those weren't her exact words and I'm not even sure you'll understand what I just said. But the thing is that before, my body was here but my mind was somewhere else. Everybody missed me, they missed having the whole me here.... but I wasn't here for them, I was living somewhere in the future. Now, I'm doing stuff with my family more, having fun, going to the movies, started taking my driving lessons to get my permanent permit, and I'll tell you something... the immigration stress went down to 50% of what it was before. I mean, I'm still a mess  but a little mess instead of a big one!

What's the alternative ULING?? You know? Should we just let anyone who wants to get married come in?? I mean we have to have SOME rules and boundaries or else it would be JUST LIKE people perceive it to be...you marry an american you get an automatic green card. Think of the fraud that would ensue!

Waiting sucks, yes, but what is your alternative??

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!

Agreed. As usual

Uling, this IS part of the process...I don't see how you could think otherwise. You chose to become engaged to a foreign national, as we all have. So naturally, there's red tape.

Doesn't mean I like it one bit, but I see it for what it is. If he wasn't worth it, I wouldn't do it...but I can't sit here and say 'we shouldn't have to wait' because this is the path we've chosen.

karo112 & LisaD - I know! I know! I do agree with both of you, and there is no alternative. BUT that doesn't mean that I have to like it. I'm just venting because I need my baby here with me. I am strongly against illegal immigration just like many other Americans, and I've worked for the government for many years now so I do understand the red tape. Thanks for the comments! Cheers!!!

I don't think there's one of us here who likes the separation (and if there is, perhaps a rethink of the whole 'get married' business is in order?)....but for those of us who say 'oh it's the process'...we're not out of our minds, we just realize that you can't fight city hall. Separation sucks, but you either deal with it, or go all Terrie Oh! on us

IM HAVING THE WORST DAY OF MY LIFE EVER!!!:lol::lol::lol::lol:
