Feeling a little lost and not sure what to do.. my finace had his interview at the Casablanca Consulate on April 27th, 2011 they told him they could not give him a Visa because he didn't know me. When I heard this, I could not believe what I was hearing. We have been together for almost 4 years. Anyway, we were told our file would be sent back to USCIS for further review. Not sure if we should start all over again, or for me to just go to Morocco and get married and when back apply for a spousal visa. Is there anyone else on here been through this and come out successfully?

I had gone there twice and we have phone logs, emails, pictures together and we had pictures of his family and friends. Copies of airline tickets. Pictures my daughter had drawn for them and sent to he and his family. Letters and cards I sent him as well.

From the reason they gave for the denial, it sounds more like the problem was that he didn't answer the questions well, rather than proof of the relationship. Maybe he was nervous or felt intimidated......or maybe he didn't understand well? I'm really sorry for you. *hugs*

He was unable to answer a few questions because he was nervous. It really stinks because he knew the answers. So now, I guess we just sit and wait for our papers to get back to the USCIS and see if they send it back to the cousulate or just straight out deny us.

You say you filed for a fiancee visa. But your profile says you applied for CR-1....which is a spousal visa. If you appled for a fiancee visa, it will most likely sit on someone's desk when it gets back until it expires. Then they will send you a letter of expiration (after you have waited six months or so) and it will say you are free to re-file. If it is a spousal visa it will eventually get reviewed.

It sounds like you already know why he was denied. You will need to address it very specifically in your re-file.

So here's my first advice:

Go back to Morocco and really get to know him. Decide how much you really like him. Spend as much time as you can with him. Then, if all is well, get married and file a CR1.

You are in for a long road. There are many of us from Morocco who have done this. Good luck to you.

Nervousness is a visa killer at a high fraud consulate like Casa. When nervous, a person exhibits body language that indicates deception to the CO. Body language is a large part of what they look for during the interview. No matter what evidence you have, if the evidence doesn't match the indicators given off, it's probable that the visa will be declined.

Don't wait for your file to be returned. Contact your US representatives immediately, asking them to intervene to try to keep the file there. It is possible to get another interview. Others here will have more specific advice, but please don't just wait any longer. You must stay positive and be proactive to have any chance of winning.

I am sorry for your denial. i hope you succeed in preventing the consulate from sending the file back to the US and give him another chance, i agree with sofiyya if it is sent back to the US it will expire before anyone even look at it

Find a job you love to do, and you will never work another day in your life.

Im sorry for you denied, im in the same situation now, my fiance was denied in casa 3 weeks ago, i know how you feel its just furstaring but just dont wait any longer and contact you congressman, i did same thing as soon as i came back from morocco i sent a email to my congressman with basic information and got a letter from caseworker last week saying that they have started working on our case. Also have contacted 2 immigration lawyer asking for advice because we do have a real and beautiful relationship, we were 100% sure he will get approved, 4 trips to morocco in one year one with my father and spent 3 months with my faince there, hundreds of pics and his hands full of evidences that the CO didt even look at,he just told my fiance that he didt know me well and denied him on section 221g. Both lawyer told me that i should go back to morocco get married and apply for i130 instead of waste my time with k1 kuz it could take years and may end up in denied again. OHHH dont forget to email the embassy in casablanca try to have your petition reviewed by a senior consular or chief, we never know it that could help, i just tried all and still waiting for result i know it take time so be patience (F)
