Wow chill on the font. I don't believe Haiti is considered an area of imminent danger so I dount they are still processing expediates based on the earth quake. Life there is rough but no worse than many other countries and not abnormal to the countries standards.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

SO DON'T TELL ME LIFE IS ROUGH THERE NO WORST THEN OTHER COUNTRIES DON'T COMPARE IF YOU LACK KNOWLEDGE FOR YOUR COMPARISON! I DID NOT START THIS FORUM FOR PEOPLE TO START THEIR HATRED TRUST ME IT WON'T BE ALLOWED HERE. IF YOU READ THE QUESTIONS RIGHT IT ASKED IF ANYONE HAS KNOWLEDGE ON THE MATTER WELL YOU OBVIOUSLY DON'T THANK YOU FOR READING. NEXT!

The people that process expedites will look to see if there is a CURRENT sisuation there ( no the quake is old news ) and if there is any emergrancy that would meet the requirements for expediate. Even people from countries there there are active wars can't expediate if the war isn't literly at their doorstep. You can try ,everyone is free to apply, but there doesn't seem to be anything in Haiti at the moment the meets the usually requirements for expedition.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

She was trying to HELP you, but with these comments I doubt others will attempt. As stated, there is no longer any expedition being done due to cholera and earthquake issues.

If you look at the immigration timeline for Haiti for the IR-1/CR1, the last two cases (the only ones that are recent) received their NOA2 in 1-2 months. Of course this doesn't tell you for sure if your case will be expedited, but at least there is hope. Also, if you look at the K1s there have been a number recently that have received their NOA2 quickly compared to normal processing time (especially those who have gone through CSC). I know it's stressful when you can't be with your husband and the situation in Haiti isn't great, but hang in there and one day you can look back at this like it was just a bad dream!

Hi

I just wanted to share some helpful information I got from member Jun&Scheillo (I wanted to give them credit for the research)thanks Jun&Scheillo

USCIS has received many inquiries regarding how to bring relatives in Haiti to the United States.

If you are a United States’ citizen or a permanent resident, you may be eligible to petition to bring certain family members to the United States from Haiti. Information on how to petition for a relative can be found in the “Family” section of our website. Upon filing, if you haven’t received a receipt notice or other notice after 90 days please contact our National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.

USCIS is currently expediting all petitions in which the beneficiary is from Haiti. You do not need to request expedited processing; USCIS will automatically expedite these petitions. Please see the chart below for more details.

If your petition… Then you…

Is for your fiancé(e), but you have not yet filed, May submit your completed Form I-129F petition to the appropriate USCIS service center where it will be processed. Your petition will be automatically expedited if the beneficiary is in Haiti.

Is for an immediate relative,* but you have not yet filed,

*Immediate relatives are limited to:

The child (unmarried and under 21 years old) of a U.S. citizen

The spouse (husband or wife) of a U.S. citizen

The parent of a U.S. citizen (if the U.S. citizen is 21 years or older)

May submit your completed Form I-130 petition to the appropriate USCIS service center where its processing will be expedited upon receipt.

If for a preference category relative,* but you have not yet filed,

*Preference category relatives include:

An unmarried son or daughter (21 years or older) of a U.S. citizen

A married son or daughter (any age) of a U.S. citizen

A sibling (brother or sister) of a U.S. citizen

The spouse of a permanent resident

The child (unmarried and under 21 years old) of permanent resident

The unmarried son or daughter (21 years or older) of a permanent resident

May submit your completed Form I-130 petition to the appropriate USCIS service center where its processing will be expedited upon receipt. Your relative will need to wait for a visa number to become available before he/she will be eligible to apply for an immigrant visa.

Is currently pending with USCIS, Should await a decision or other notice of action. The review and processing of all categories of pending I-130 and I-129F petitions will be expedited automatically.

Has been approved by USCIS, but there is no visa number available, Will need to wait for a visa number to become available before your relative will be eligible to apply for an immigrant visa.

Has been approved by USCIS and a visa number is available, Should contact the National Visa Center at 603-334-0700 or at NVCINQUIRY@state.gov. Once USCIS approves a petition, we forward it to the National Visa Center (if you had requested consular processing when you filed the petition).

First, it is a violation of the Terms of Service for Visa Journey to make personal attacks on other members and to use inflammatory language meant to incite a negative response. Two posts have been removed - one for violating TOS and the other quoting the TOS violating comments). The acceptable part of the second removed post is returned to the thread below.

Second, we request that English only be used outside of the Regional Forums. The information here needs to be accessible and useful to all of our members and English is the language the majority have in common as well as being the official language of the US and this is a US immigration site. Please restrict the use of non-English to the Regional forums and PMs. Thank you.

Writing in all caps is considered yelling, why would you ask people for information by yelling at them? A little word of advice “You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar”. The nicer you are the more you will get in life. FYI netiquette is an actual word it is not spelled wrong,as for my creole I'm very proud of it.lol

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
