Long story short:

Bought my father-in-law a laptop for Christmas from Best Buy. It broke. He sent it back from Mexico and I returned it for store credit.

No way to get cash in hand. Only a gift card with around $550 on it.

So I had to think of something to purchase that I could sell....Hmmm....That is a no brainer: anything made by Apple (hottest item currently on market is the iPad 2)

Purchased one for $829 (had to spend a few extra hundred).

This is the highest model (64GB with Wi-Fi 3G).

I looked on one of Best Buys open floor computers how much they sold for on eBay and the prices vary from $900 to $1200 depending on how big of iTards you get.

Mine was just listed a few hours ago for $499 and is already up to $651 with 8 watchers.

I'm thinking about getting another but the fees from shipping, PayPal, and eBay add up and there will come a time when they only go for retail value and no more.

I swear the next new Apple item that comes out I am going to stockpile and make $500 to $1000 in a week.

The purpose is just to get my money back from the store credit but I probably will make 1 to 3 hundred...

Go iSheep!!!

I do believe in karma. Why do you ask? You saying karma is gonna bite me on this auction for calling the people that are bidding iTards? I need another $200 approx. to break even on the auction including shipping...This one will end on the weekend so I think it will draw a bigger crowd. Or were you talking about the broken laptop (that was on my father in law, if it never broke he would still have it).

Bought my father-in-law a laptop for Christmas from Best Buy. It broke.

Wasn't a Mac then? :P

Nope. Samsung headbonk.gif...The Macs are too expensive. My budget on my last laptop was $1200....But doesn't hurt to have 2 laptops so maybe around Christmas (lol) I will get one if there aren't any other better cool gadgets out there. Even the MacBook for $999 looks nice

I'm missing your point as well.

People are buying products they want, some have a need to have it quicker than the waiting period allows, so they pay extra.

I actually I was in that same boat a few weeks back.

My dad bought an itouch but it turned out too small for his 80sumthing eyes so I decided to get him an ipad.

Sure I could have saved a few bucks by waiting but to be honest, I'm not sure how much longer my dad will be around so I payed a few extra bucks to get it sooner.

Actually I had to tell my dad it was "my ipad" or we would have to go through that whole rigamorow of him wanting to pay for it, so I told him to "try it for a while" and I will take the itouch.

As a side note, the itouch is to small to be very practical however I did find one use for it.

If you download Skype to it... you can make calls on it if you have internet connection.

Side note 2, the Ipad is pretty cool.

I was talking about calling the bidders iTards/iSheep. I'm not sure if karma will show up in the auction, I don't think it works that way. It's possible you'll be reincarnated as an iTard though. It's also possible karma doesn't know what an iTard is though, so maybe you'll be OK.

$40 to go and I am at break even (excluding shipping which might be $15)......Still over a full day remaining on the auction!

We must have different views on karma...

Me calling my bidders iTards behind their backs is not gonna bring me bad karma because they will never know this thread existed. I'm extremely professional with my ebaying and provide very fast and friendly service. The iTard that wins will

be very pleased. Now if I wrote the winner an email like "thanks you idiot iTard iSheep moron...." then that might bring a little bad karma upon me....But I more so believe that lying, cheating, stealing, hurting are the types of things that will come

back to haunt the person later in life...

Only prob right now is the current highest bidder is from another country in another hemisphere so he obviously didn't read the ad saying only shipping within the United States. headbonk.gif

And he has a feedback of 2. Can't tell you how many times I've been bitten by that.

Good luck though. I'm not wishing anything bad on your auction or anything. No sense in both of us having bad Karma.

Are Christians allowed to bid on your auction?

When it comes to money we are all of the same religion...Ever hear that one before? I think some Greek Philosopher said it, not sure.

I do not discriminate against anyone...My mom is a Christian...A lot of people in my family are....Matter of fact, most Americans "claim" to be Christians.

Why would you ask such a silly question?

US money says, "In God We Trust." There are no exceptions allowed, and no "I" in "We". :bonk:
