Tea Party Endorses Gaddafi For 2012 Presidential Run

The Tea Party Summit ended yesterday evening with an almost unanimous decision to endorse Colonel Muammar Muhammad al-Gaddafi, acting leader and guide of the Revolution of Libya, as their preferred candidate for the 2012 Presidential Elections. With impeccable logic, Tea Party Leader Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) announced the decision by saying – “Obama has incensed all Americans and the rest of the World by launching an unprovoked war against our ally, Colonel Gaddafi, without the prior consent of Congress. It is only fair that we should give Colonel Gaddafi a chance to fight back on an even playing field. Our candidate is in favor or tax cuts for the rich, cutting our defense budget, eliminating unnecessary government – including time and money wasting elections – and has an impeccable record when it comes to international relations and human rights. He also has a lot of cheap oil.”

The White House responded immediately, questioning Colonel Gaddafi’s citizenship, echoing the concerns of the one person who voted against the nomination, Donald Trump. A Tea Party spokesperson, Marge Hare, held up a handwritten birth certificate purportedly issued by the state of Minnesota on April 1, 1942. “This authentic birth certificate should banish all doubts about Colonel Gaddafi’s right to run as President, she said, unlike some prior candidates from the Democratic Party.” Trump reluctantly conceded the point and admitted that he had sold some property to Gaddafi in the past in a property deal that he himself had branded as “shady”.

Colonel Gaddafi is currently out of the country attending to some overseas business, but when reached last night by the barman at Foster’s Bighorn, he said ““No representation of the people – representation is a falsehood. The mere existence of parliaments underlies the absence of the people, for democracy can only exist with the presence of the people and not in the presence of representatives of the people.” This somewhat confused representatives of the local Tea Party gathering, but when asked to elaborate he simply said – “If a community of people wears white on a mournful occasion and another dresses in black, then one community would like white and dislike black and the other would like black and dislike white. Moreover, this attitude leaves a physical effect on the cells as well as on the genes in the body.” He went on to say – ”Labor in return for wages is virtually the same as enslaving a human being.” Some background noise, possibly gunshots and missiles exploding, interrupted the conversation at that point, so the local Tea Party leader called for free drinks all round.

Although Colonel Gaddafi has been accused of being a Muslim, having said such things as – “Another grave historical error is for several religions to remain in existence after Muhammad” in the past, Tea Party leader Jim DeMint (R-SC) said that Newt Gingrich had enlightened their candidate and that Colonel Gaddafi had converted to Christianity in the past few days, “so that his religion should not be a distracting issue, unlike the current President’s claim to be a Christian.”

At least he didn't call them the coloreds or the negros! "The blacks" sounds so awkward, it was probably what came out of his filter. Who knows what phrase he actually uses in private.
