How do you know what your priority date is? Is the date of notice?

My Journey:

We met through a study-abroad program in Shanghai, China in August of 2009

We got engaged March of 2010

I received my K1 VISA in 6 months (June-December 2010)

We were married 04/02/2011
I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)

On the NOA1 there's a date that should actually say "priority date".

Heh...sorry, you've got multiple NOA1s. I meant your USCIS/I-129F NOA1.

I hope you didn't mean the I-129F noa1 because that is not the process she's going through. She's already got her K1 visa (what the I-129F gets her)... so no. She needs to check her AOS (I-485) NOA1

My Journey:

K1's don't have a priority date. That's for people who originally filed an I-130. Don't worry about it. My wife and step-kids NOA's didn't have priority dates either.

12/15/2009 - K1 Visa Interview - APPROVED!

12/29/2009 - Married in Oakland, CA!

08/18/2010 - AOS Interview - APPROVED!

05/01/2013 - Removal of Conditions - APPROVED!

K1's don't have a priority date. That's for people who originally filed an I-130. Don't worry about it. My wife and step-kids NOA's didn't have priority dates either.

My AOS stuff has a priority date. I double checked before posting... and just to clarify. I filed AOS from a K1, no I-130 filed.

I wouldn't say it's "bad" that it's not there because on mine it's the same as the notice date.

**Edit - I filed April 2010 and GC dated 1st July. My GC notice, my biometrics notices my EAD notice (the I-797 thingies) ALL have the priority date on them.
