I have no idea how they do the scheduling, nor how big our field city. All I know is we only do an oath at the district court one date a month. The place wasn't so busy when I had my interview.

Same with San Francisco: Once a month, but they use a huge venue, up to 1300 new citizens get sworn in every month.

I have been looking around the internet for the KC oath scheduling and finally found my answer. It does take at least 2 grueling months from the interview to the oath ceremony. Oath letters were sent for the 8/18 ceremony on 7/20. So you should have been in scheduling que before 7/20 to make to the 8/18. Now that you and I are in the que, we will be in either the 9/15 or 9/16 whichever they schedule. If it is September, I would like it to be on the constitution day event. It looks like they send the oath letters of the next ceremony right after the preceding one. The MO district court that administers the oath is kind of small (not the hall but the courtroom) and that may be why it fills up pretty quickly.

Anyway, 9/15 or 9/16 (would prefer the latter).

fazmo, I have been in line for oath scheduling since June 29, that's why I was hoping to get (at least) in the Aug. 18 ceremony, but no luck. So, I'm, keeping my fingers crossed from the 9/15. That's until how long I can keep my sanity :huh: If you're right about the oath letter being sent out on 7/20 for 8/18, then I should hope to get mine 10 days from now for the 9/15. I just hate waiting so much and twiddle my thumbs.

Updating my timeline...

Had a successful interview today.

Civic questions:

1. What does the President's cabinet do?

2. How many justices are on the Supreme Court?

3. If both the President and the Vice President can no longer serve, who becomes President?

4. How many amendments does the Constitution have?

5. Name one branch or part of the government.

6. What did the declaration of Independence do?

Reading test...choose 1 out of 3 questions

-When is Columbus day?

Writing test...IO told me to write...

-Columbus day is in October.

Done in ten minutes. The IO gave me the approval letter and told me that there is an Oath taking ceremony today but unfortunate that they do not have the same day schedule. She let us go back to the waiting lounge to wait for an Oath sched. letter, for August 22nd.

BTW, the IO allowed my husband inside the room.
