I realize that we (VJers) are just a fraction of the cases at the VSC, but there are no cases approved yet today! Where are you Vermont!? Show us a sign!

On a good note, one of my case workers (with a senators office) called Washington today to complain about the false processing times the USCIS is giving out. She said she got frustrated enough after so many calls that she called and yelled at someone about it. Hopefully they will at least update the site to reflect the 6 month reality.

Good luck y'all!

09/21/10 - I-129F Sent!

09/23/10 - I-129F Received in Dallas, TX

09/28/10 - Text & E-mail NOA1 (It was at 12:44AM, weird) Notification that our case was transferred to VSC.

09/29/10 - Check cashed

09/30/10 - NOA-1 Hard Copy dated Sep. 27, 2010

10/03/10 - TOUCH!

After numerous calls to USCIS, my two Texas Senators and a Congressman, the latter got an "expedite" put through (if you can call a month and a week after ONPT an expedite). Just never let up! Even though mine took way too long, there were people who were a month before me and waited longer because they just sat back and watched. "The squeaky wheel gets the grease!"

03/31/11 - NOA-2!

04/05/11 - Received NOA-2 hard copy.

04/07/11 - NVC Received

04/12/11 - Case left NVC via DHL

I wrote my congressman and Secretary Napolitano's mail drop. within a week we saw the 70 VSC petition approvals. Coincidence, maybe. But the letter I received from my congressman said that to address the unacceptable processing times at VSC, resources have been shifted to better utilize the available resources and was told if we hadn't heard anything from them by mid-june to contact the office again.

At the time that I wrote them, it was just to bring attention to the backlog. I was in no position to mention my petition. The letters were based solely on USCIS and their communication style.

Oh and I sent the letters to their offices in Washington. Not the local offices.

We could start a twitter riot egypt style! :D

I noticed that out of the 4 (four) approvals on the 14th, 2 of them were NOA1 from October (congrats to those guys), however, what about the other 91 (NINETY ONE) still in September?????

50% of yesterday's approvals on VJ were skipping over the massive amounts still left in September, and not mentioning the possible ones left in July.....

BTW, this is according to Igor's List so feel free to see for yourself

About to head in to the 6 month range.........

@John & Mari, totally agree! What I hate most is when I talk to people about it on the phone and they act like 6 months is no big deal or just normal. How can a sane person think this process is by any means ok? 6 months is ludicrous. Good luck to all!

Well, so much for a wedding in July :crying:

For a couple of months it was snowy in Vermont, they couldnt work because of the cold. Now, i guess its going to be meltdown season, which means too much water?? ... and just when those 30 days of perfect weather arrive - they will go on a summer break (cause its been such a "hard working" year for them. Are they even alive there? Cause it sure looks like they dont do s*** for months now so i was just being "worried" about them :P

They can do what CSC did a few weeks back and approve a bunch of petitions from 2 weeks ago and take their numbers down from 151-124 days and throw Washington off them. Very few, except the ones who've been waiting 4-5 months quite understand how frustrating that is.

I think they have already done this and will continue to do it. They just have to do the minimal to throw off the boss, this system is atrocious.

Happy to hear about October petitions and of course the sprinkled in super fast approvals that seem to have gotten through in less than 3 months but HELLO... what about us SEPTEMBER FILERS or even prior to that? I have done much to be patient thus far but I just can't anymore because this is some real bullsh*t. I'm not going to wait another day to write yet another letter to my senator and congressman about this. It is unacceptable. There is obviously no rhyme, reason or order to this system which means it is NEITHER FAIR NOR JUST! If we don't make collective noise... no one will lift a finger faster even to pick their own noses.

I SAY STARTING TOMORROW MORNING... everyone who is still pending and has been significantly passed over (outside the "NORMAL PROCESSING TIME" currently listed on the website) should write and/or call their government officials. AT MINIMUM, someone with authority will get sick of our complaints and hopefully light a fire under the asses of these VSC workers!

As it is, this is such a ridiculous process as it is based on a corrupt system that will do anything just to make money including toy with the very lives of people in love! I WILL NOT SAY QUIET UNTIL I SEE ACTION AND I IMPLORE EACH OF YOU TO DO THE SAME!
