AMHERST, Va. – A woman turned few heads when she entered a rural Virginia courthouse with a tiny monkey clad in a pink-and-white dress tucked in her bra.

The woman brought the palm-sized marmoset to Amherst County Courthouse on Thursday for a hearing in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court. The monkey apparently wasn't detected until the woman went to an office to complete some paperwork.

In an interview with The News Advance of Lynchburg, the woman said the marmoset was 7 weeks old on Friday and it requires constant attention.

The woman told the newspaper she purchased the animal on an online auction site and had its clothes specially made in West Virginia.

better than a monkey in her pants...right?

or a pair of boots.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

she's lucky she didn't get contempt of court for playing with her monkey in the courtroom. :hehe:

When I went to court 2 months ago with my ex I didn't have a monkey in my pants but the bailiff figured I did.

Any time I absentmindedly put my hands in my pockets he yelled at me to take them out.

F'ing kindergarten cop. If they inspect you and detect you at the door, they're still not sure

that they have done their job so they have to pretend to be alarmed by any normal activity.

If any lawyer did that I don't think they would be treated that way. He was harassing me

because I appeared "in se" - the judge didn't like that I didn't have a lawyer, but I got the

job done in the end and my ex was stuck with a lawyer's fee that was probably more than

40% of what she got from me in the end. She probably would have got more by not going

to court.

She could have avoided this by talking to me instead of running to her shyster.

The woman should not have been hassled for the monkey; when was the last

time anyone was threatened by a deadly marmoset?

True, carrying a concealed primate is against the law in most states.
