Thanks... Two weeks from today will mark 4 months exactly from the NOA1 date. (We overnighted it 4 months ago today. ) I suppose it's still possible that there was a transfer to CSC that we never heard about, that the USCIS website isn't working correctly and that it could arrive in the mail without notice within the 4 month window, but if the local office wants an interview, I don't think it'll happen on time.

We haven't had an RFE for anything, so I can only imagine what the delay is. You never know with USCIS... Of course, we didn't get an RFE for the I-129F either and only got our approval 2 weeks short of the 5 month target. With 2 weeks left for AOS, maybe we'll get lucky this week too...

Have you tried to call and get a status update on anything. Maybe they send a letter with the next step and it was returned because of a typo error or something.

My wife is going to call this afternoon and ask them what's going on. I know the NOA1 says to wait the 4 months, but if the USCIS website says our local office is processing cases within four months and we are within 12 days of that without an interview date, we are a bit concerned that we were never notified or, even worse, that it's already been missed.

I'm assuming that USCIS has Tier 2 representatives that speak Spanish since you can choose Spanish when you call. If not, I'll have to call on her behalf this evening to see what's going on.

Is anyone else still waiting on an interview date?

Well, she called USCIS and they said "Although there are still 12 days until it's officially late, we're are going to make a note to look into why her case has taken so long to process". What??? Oh well, at least they didn't tell her that the interview date had already been scheduled/passed. I guess we'll call again on August 1st if we still haven't heard anything yet.

And who knows? Maybe the call itself was enough to make them dust off the folder and do something with it? I'm still convinced that the address change I put in while waiting for I-129F approval was what caused them to finally look at our petition again after it had been sitting around for 4-1/2 months since I received the approval the day after changing my mailing address.

Well, card production and decision alert emails came today! Yay! Haven't really been sweating it too much, since the EAD was what we were really sweating, but nice to have this sorted out anyway. Now just waiting on the postal service to get it here. I've seen that a couple folks seem to have gotten the 10 yr cards right off the bat. Hope we do too!

Best of luck to those still waiting on the slow wheels of bureaucracy to turn....

The few who received the 10 year cards have already been married for more than two years as of the date the AOS was approved. Your timeline says you were married in Dec '10 so, unfortunately, you'll have to play another round of "Waiting on USCIS"....

In our case, the funny thing is, my wife has her EAD and AP, so she can do most everything already but I (the USC) want to make a job change involving self-employment, which could be complicated from I-864 standpoint without self-employment income already appearing on tax returns (if we do get called for an interview). Even though we can swing it financially, I'm afraid to do anything that would prevent me from having a current paystub, even for a short time, until her AOS is complete. I just don't want to risk anything as far as the Affidavit of Support is concerned.

Honestly, this wait has me more stressed out than my wife because USCIS (indirectly) is in a position of being in charge of my career decisions - and I am not used to that.... I've been putting off this move for well over a year now while waiting out the whole K-1/AOS process and am ready to get moving!!!

Why wait 5 years? You can apply in 3.

Because we are happy with the greencard and are in no rush to stress out over paperwork and getting more marriage documents together again. I've been looking at the citizenship forum and its looks like its easier to just wait five years and you don't have to get any marriage proof together.

Hello everyone...

Is anyone else still waiting for an interview appointment date? I hope not.

Good luck! I'm sure you'll have no problems.

That's the one good thing (I guess) about still waiting. We still have plenty of time to sort through and print more photos, gather bank, insurance, utility and other documents showing our lives being merged into one.
