Should we do a living will or living trust, which is better

What's it for? What do you mean by "better"... Better for what? If it's just about evidence you don't NEED a Will or Trust, they just mention it as something you could take as evidence of relationship.

Trust or Will is a personal choice. You can have trusts built into your Will. My father had a family trust built several years ago (before we were born) and it's still in effect. The trust came in handy when he divorced his second wife, a real money hungry b*t&h. The family trust isn't just dad's though.. it's his and mum's right now, and his Will states we will become trustees on his passing.

I like having the trust but I don't have enough money myself to have built one myself. Wills are nice and simple but I have to admit that I don't like the idea of people contesting the Will. You can state that everything goes to your spouse or kids but it's still possible for almost ANYONE to contest it. So it really depends on your personal situation. I know that no-one would contest my Will, but I also know that Dad's other kids might try and contest his which is why when it was written it was very specific about why his other children don't get anything.

Some people also suggest that you write a letter to go with your Will. There's only so much you can write in a Will, and writing "she's not getting anything 'cause she's a b*t&h" doesn't look the best and the judge (who presides over the proceeding contesting the Will) could just assume that it was a spur of the moment decision, or a petty disagreement. Adding the letter outlines why you decided they don't need anything from the Will and gives you a "voice" once you have passed.
