Thanks for your post. I wasn't able to see my status on the uscis.gov website since I filed in dec. 2010, but after reading your post I checked again and sure enough I see my WAC number is now showing up.

Our Love will get us through this. It grows stronger everyday.

I filed my I-130 on Dec. 1, 2010 and it's been 2 1/2 months and I still don't see my case status update on USCIS website. I called them several times and they checked it it for me and told me that my case is fine and it's in process but that's all. I just checked my case status again on USCIS site and it still says "Your case can not be found at this time in My Case Status..."

I have no idea what the next step would be; if/when I should be expecting their next move whatsoever. Does anyone know when should I expect the next step (i.e. USCIS asking for affidavit of support, etc.).

Thanks.

I just spoke to USCIS Customer Service and they told me that it takes a very long time to get the online case status. Also, the person said that I-130's are taking 9-12 months these days since they have a lot of applications in this category. Their website says 5-months processing time but he said realistic time is 9-12 months which is very worrisome. Any suggestions/words of comfort anyone?

Many people cannot log into their case. For whatever reason, the website does not allow them, but dont worry, as long as you have your NOA1 youre good to go.

With regards to the 9-12 month timeframe, dont stress too much. Some people get their I-130 approved in 3 months. Some 4, some 5, and some much longer. As you go through this process you will realise there is NO telling when you will be approved. All you can do is sit back, relax, and if USCIS contact you for any reason, reply in a speedy manner!

Use the time you are waiting to research the NVC Steps (search: EZGuideSpouse and LingChe) as this is where you can really make a difference and shorten your timeframe by being proactive!

Good luck!

If you look at the timeline here they are all saying 7 months... I haven't called USCIS in awhile but they told me 5 months and now they are quoting 9-12 months??? There website still says 5 months... I wonder which is the realistic time frame

USCIS website still says 5 months for I-130

Thw timelines on here are skewed because of the CSC-TSC-CSC fiasco, so they are not showing a realistic timeline. Once you get to your 5 months mark you have measures you can take. Contact your congressmen and senators to help if it gets past that mark.

Possibly they misunderstood your question. 9-12 months for the entire I130 process seems fairly realistic. Maybe this was their intention, not just for the I 130 approval alone. That and $2 will get you a cup of coffee to , meaning it's just my opinion.

FYI:

I can finally see my case status online at USCIS website. It took them over 4 months just for that. The status is still showing "initial review"... Nothing has changed on that end.

So anyone else who wasn't able to check their case status online, may want to try again.

9-12 months is the total process approximately

There were people that went thru the TSC and CSC fiasco that took 9 months for NAO2..

Right now I see many people getting 5 month NOA2..
