I'm filing my ROC March 2011....anyone else out there with me?

Random thought/question - my brother is getting married in Canada June 4, 2011. My visa actually expires that day (as per my passport stamp). We will be driving over the border June 2nd. Any thoughts on if this would be an issue or not timing wise?

Your CR-1 visa was CANCELED the moment you used it to enter the USA the first time.

When filing I-751 to remove conditions on a conditional green-card, USCIS sends out a letter extending status for 1 year, you use this letter and expired green-card to re-enter the USA from trips abroad.

I've been collecting documents pretty much since I POE'd.

We moved about 6 weeks after I arrived so I have evidence from both addresses.

From our first address I have the receipt notices of my green card and SIN along with a new joint credit card we received there. The deed to this residence was in my husband's name as it was purchased prior to our marriage but I included it to show the address and explained it in our cover letter.

For our current home I also included the deed (in my husband's name and explained in our cover letter) as his marital status is noted on the deed

Other documents:

Tax transcripts for 2008, 2009 (married filing jointly)

Invoices and statements from the moving companies that moved both of our belongings to the new home (his from the old US address and mine from Canada)

Both of our driver's licences showing same address

Home and auto insurance statements in both of of our names covering past two years

Statements showing me as a dependent spouse on my husband's medical, vision, life insurance and savings and investment plan

Copies of joint credit cards (VISA, Mastercard, Macy's) and associated quarterly statements covering the two years to show address

Statement from our bank showing each of us as joint owners/beneficiaries on each other's account

Selected copies of bank statements over the past two years showing payment of household bills

Selected utility bills (all in my husband's name but I explained in our cover letter that everything was transferred fron his previous residence)

About 10 photographs spanning the past two years including scans of the associated hotel receipts or tickets for the events we attended where the photos were taken

I have it organized better than I have listed here but this is the bulk of it.

I didn't mention, but of course will include the actual petition, payment, green card copy (front and back)

Wow, you are organized! I am just getting things together now....copy of trip tickets, electric bill in both of our names, actual deed signed by us and the attorney when we bought our house, bank statements, tax stuff, doc showing he's 100% beneficiary on my work 401k, both of us on the health insurance, etc....

Well just sent my I751 packet this past Wednesday the 23rd, but I guess by the time I receive anything it'll be March so let's just be a March filler. Good luck everyone !!!

Glad to see Moosker and OBX are both doing fine. Seems like just yesterday we were on her trying to get our spouses into the country. How quickly two years flies by!

I sent out my ROC yesterday. As per USPS, it would arrive thursday. Hopefully, USCIS would pick it up by Friday from their P.O Box.

Other one is a later starter, but has filers list (spreadsheet?) and already 4 members on it.
