Ok so It's been 5 months and 4 days since NOA1(K1 Visa). I haven't received anything since! No e*mails/letters nothing. Needless to say I'm a little discouraged. Our petition has more than enough evidence of our 6 year relationship.

I've contacted USCIS and they pretty much just say sit and wait!! VERY frustrating.... Is this pretty standard??? The sit and wait game??

I was under the impression that the USCIS would keep me updated better! At least tell me that it has moved from one filling cabinet to another! lol

Help us keep the faith!

Thanks

Samantha and Tim

I think your NOA2 is coming. 5 months is the least amount of time u gotta wait. Some would be 6 months. The most frustrated thing is the wait at USCIS, next is when they forwarding your case to NVC and the wait for case # to be assigned. Hope you get the NOA2 within this week.

Alas, it is! The very first update we got from the USCIS (as you can see in my signature) was our RFE notice 5 months and 14 days after our NOA1. Processing does not appear to have sped up at all in any way since last summer :(

You can call and ask for a service request, or contact your senator/congressperson but it seems to me it's really just a matter of them getting to your particular file, which is likely going to happen in the next month.

Could you update your timeline?

It appears that your country and service center are wrong.

It would help in getting an idea of just how much longer you have to wait.

I have posted this before and is helpful to some. Your NOA1 has a receipt number. Create an Account with a User ID and Password. Follow the Instructions and see your case status and when was it last reviewed. Hope this helps.
