10-15-2010 Touch

03-14-2011 Touch

03-14-2011 NOA2 date (153 days after NOA1)

03-23-2011 Received by NVC

04-05-2011 Called NVC today and they are still processing our papers.

04-07-2011 Left NVC

04-13-2011 Received by USEM

04-25-2011 Medical 1st day

04-27-2011 Medical 2nd day (K1&K2 passed.) THANK GOD.

05-06-2011 Interview(Got 221g for Taiwan Police Clearance and to have another interview.)

06-02-2011 USEM received documents for 221g

06-07-2011 USEM emailed that we are in further review.

06-27-2011 USEM called and asked to submit my son's baptismal certificate, school report card, travel documents from the bureau of immigration of me, my fiance and my son's biofather, and snail mail between me and my fiance.

08-02-2011 submitted additional requirements and 2nd interview.

08-16-2011 USEM emailed and asked for my passport and police clearance.

08-17-2011 USEM emailed and said they have found our passports and my Taiwan police clearance.

08-23-2011 Visa approval. THANK GOD FOR THIS ANSWERED PRAYER.

08-25-2011 Visa in transit according to 2Go.

08-26-2011 CFO seminar

08-26-2011 Visa in hand. THANK YOU LORD GOD FOR THESE BLESSINGS. Praying now to be with my honey on his birthday.

Just got NOA2 after sending RFE information last week!!!!! Happy, happy, joy, joy!!!!! What a rough road it has been, but I hear cases are getting sent to Santiago really quick...WWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

August 23, 2010 - I-129 F package sent via USPS priority mail with delivery confirmation.

August 30, 2010 - Per Department of Homeland Security (DHS) e-mail, petition received and routed to California Service Center for processing. Check cashed. I-797C Notice of Action by mail (NOA 1) - Received date 08/25/2010. Notice date 08/27/2010.

After 150 days of imposed anxious patience...

January 24, 2011 - Per USCIS website, petition approved and notice mailed.

January 31, 2011 - Approval receipt notice (NOA 2) received by mail. Called NVC, given Santo Domingo case number, and informed that petition was sent same day to consulate.

Called Visa Specialist at the Department of State every day for a case update. Informed of interview date on February, 16 2011. Informed that packet was mailed to fiance on February, 15 2011.

February 21, 2011 - Fiance has not yet received packet. Called 1-877-804-5402 (Visa Information Center of the United States Embassy) to request a duplicate packet in person pick-up at the US consulate in Santo Domingo. Packet can be picked-up by fiance on 02/28.

March 1, 2011 - Medical exam completed at Consultorios de Visa in Santo Domingo.

March 9, 2011 at 6 AM - Interview, approved!

March 18, 2011 - POE together. JFK and O'Hare airports. Legal wedding: May 16, 2011.

Lisa, everything with embassy goes really smooth they really do work, nothing like USCIS LOL :rofl:

After you got to know your case is in Chile, email the embassy for any doubt you could have, they answer really fast!!!!

Congratulations to you, too!! Seems like CSC is working fast on RFE's too!

Actually, our lawyer said the same - he gave them a call January 3rd, and was told an RFE had been issued December 20-something, but we didn't receive it so they sent another dated January 5th... how weird is that?

Just goes to show what we already know on VJ, how USCIS "sits" on stuff!!!!

YAY!!!!!!!! FINALLY!!! :dance:

I;m so happy for you Lisa!!! really good news... our case is already in Santiago but now we are asking for a change on my interview date, DOS said it was scheduled for march 21th and thats way too late for us...USCIS has really screwed up all our plans with their unbelievable delays.

Can you tell me how you find out if your case arrives and leaves from NVC to the embassy?? I have sent emails about other questions I've had to the Santiago embassy already, and yes, they do answer REALLY fast!!!

Once you got your NOA2 hard copy call NVC or DOS, you can call earlier but probably they dont have your case yet, they would tell you everything...actually call DOS cause NVC its always busy :P I'll sent you something that another chilean shared with me :thumbs:
