HI TO ALL,

ON MY PASSPORT IT HAS PETITIONER'S NAME AND ADDRESS, ANYONE HAVE THE SAME PASSPORT LIKE MINE?

I'M WORRIED BECAUSE MY FIANCE LIVES IN CALIFORNIA, AND HE TOLD ME AS SOON I GOT IN CALIFORNIA AFTER 1 OR 2 WEEKS WE ARE GOING TO MOVE IN OREGON AND GET MARRIED THERE AND NOT GOING BACK TO CALIFORNIA AND WE ARE GOING TO APPLY FOR AOS IN OREGON, WILL THAT BE A BIG PROBLEM BECAUSE THE ADDRESS ON MY PASSPORT AND MY RESIDENT ADDRESS IN OREGON IS DIFFERENT? SHOULD WE STAY IN CALIFORNIA?

NO EXACT ADDRESS YET IN OREGON, WE'RE GOING TO LIVE WITH HIS RELATIVES FIRST, THEN AFTER MARRIED WE'RE GOING TO LOOK FOR APARTMENT TO LIVE AND APPLY FOR AOS.

Yes all K1's have that because they want to make sure you marry the person that petitioned you. It is no problem as you will be able to show old address and new address on your evidence. ( His old drivers and new one )

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Please don't type in CAPS. It's harder to read and is considered "yelling".

No the address won't be an issue at all.

Don't worry too much. We are also moving to a different state and so I also have a diff address on my visa.

My Journey:

We met through a study-abroad program in Shanghai, China in August of 2009

We got engaged March of 2010

I received my K1 VISA in 6 months (June-December 2010)

We were married 04/02/2011
I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)

Thank you, VJ! smile.png

That's what it is supposed to.Ur fiance's name and address is in ur passport so they know who u are marrying with ,,only to the person who filed the k1 petition for you. No problem with future change of address, just make sure u will inform the USCIS of ur change of address within 10 days. I did that too.
