The last processing action taken on your case

Receipt Number: *hidden*

Application Type: I129F , PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Your Case Status: Post Decision Activity

On January 20, 2011, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

now for the next steps,

Just going to double check i have this right:

1. NOA2 goes to my finace's house in the US.

2. I Call DOS after NOA2 to find out my LND case number so I can make a medical appointment.

3. Make and attend a medical appointment.

4. Then I call DOS weekly until they tell me that London has issued my "packet 3".

5. Only then should I send in forms: DS-230 Part 1, DS 2001, Form DS-156, Form DS-157, Form DS-156-K.

6. After my forms have been sent to London I should start calling DOS again to find out if my interview has been scheduled just in case they don't get the address right.

thanks,

Josh.

im assuming thats the affadavit of support, which for us is: I-864. this is straight form the london embassy website: "An I-864 is not required when applying for a fiancé(e) visa. An I-864 will be required at the time the fiancé(e) visa holder applies to adjust his or her status from nonimmigrant to conditional resident with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services(USCIS)."

Yes, I-134 is the affadavit of support but it is needed for London along with all the necessary documentation.

You are correct on your steps. Good luck!

Is the I-864 and the I-134 the exact same form? what should i do with it once iv filled it in, send it with the others, or take it to the interview? will it slow the process when it isnt asked for in packet 3?

You bring the I-134 to the interview along with proof of your financial resources. It is essentially the same form as the I-864 although slightly modified. London basically wants to know when you get to the US you will have enough resources to stay and file for AOS.

ok thanks!

with the steps i put. does it matter when i schedule the medical. or is it only ok to do it after i've sent the forms. i'm just wondering because the embassy site says that they wont schedule an interview until they have the medical results, so i want to get it done asap.

I think you can schedule the medical as soon as your stuff from NVC is on its way to the London Embassy.

Congratulations!! I woke up in the UK this morning to the same email woo hoo!!

I screamed so loud my mum ran up the stairs thinking I'd had a heart attack or something lol!!

Now for the next steps...

Re your second point, you're right in thinking you can schedule the medical after calling the DOS for the LDN case no, but make sure that the embassy has logged your case into their system as well so all the paperwork lines up. If you're too quick off the mark and the medical results turn up before you're in the system it could get a bit complicated...

Can't wait for my US fiance to wake up so I can tell him!!
