I just finished watching the 4th season of Dexter, and it was truly unexpected and shocking. I was wondering if there are any Dexter fans here on VJ. I know the 5th season just ended on TV, but I haven't had the chance to watch it yet.

It's just hard to imagine Dexter now without Rita. :( It was really a shocker.

@ Charles, perhaps you should watch it too and know what to expect from Nessa :whistle:

It's an awesome show, they say it's different than the books, I think I'll order to first one soon and see how different it is.

Dexter is awesome. We're anxiously awaiting season 5. We were hooked on "Rescue Me" before we started watching Dexter, and are also waiting for the next season of that show to be released on DVD.

I was happy to see Rita go...

I also thought season 5 was mostly weaksauce, except for several eps in the middle. Won't say anymore since you haven't watched it.

Cannot wait for 6 though!

Awww were you? I was too sad, it felt so real. My husband said she was acting like a b*tch but after she died he said he felt bad lol.

Thanks for not disclosing too much on season 5. I will catch up soon, it's on comcast on demand. It sucks waiting so long for the next season though.

Dexter is awesome. We're anxiously awaiting season 5. We were hooked on "Rescue Me" before we started watching Dexter, and are also waiting for the next season of that show to be released on DVD.

It's on cable, we have comcast on demand and they have the first 6 episodes of season 5 if I'm not mistaken. I think the DVD will be released until around August 2011, I couldn't wait so long! I love Dexter.

I just never really felt the connection between Rita and Dexter, and she was acting like a shrew at the end. But I'm not totally heartless...that ending had me stunned speechless. although I have to say this: The hubby and I caught the Dex train late, so the season was already done by the time we were watching it. I happened across a show that aired the clip of the ending! We were about 3 eps behind at that point.

I was so pissed off, that's why I'm extra careful about not ruining anything for others with spoilers

That must have sucked!! I was reading some stuff online but stopped just in case I would bump into some spoilers. Now what they're saying is that Jennifer Carpenter filed for divorce in December 2010, and we'll see how that affects them on set for the next season. Idk if you know but Dex and Deb are married in real life... well soon to be divorced.

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
