hello everyone,

i needed some advice as to where people in Atlanta are getting their peppers from in Atlanta. My SO comes from Comoros so when he comes to America we are gonna need a very large quantity to make putu (hot pepper sauce). i know pepper sauce is popular in many other countries (they had an awesome green one in Benin and Nigeria) i just need to get it here preferably of the orange and red variety.

if anyone has a specific place they go, please share

:D Your topic go me thinking about a type of pepper called Naga Jolokia Pepper, this little baby will burn you out. 1,000,000+ scovill units!

2007, Guinness World Records certified the Naga Jolokia as the world's hottest chili pepper, 401.5 times hotter than Tabasco sauce. As of December 3, 2010, the Naga Jolokia is no longer the hottest known chili pepper; it has been replaced by the Naga Viper, which has an average peak Scoville rating more than 300,000 points higher than an average Naga Jolokia - but still not higher than the hottest ever recorded Dorset Naga.

Now I have to buy some for my wife!

Our local grocery store carrys a lot of specialty things you would not normally find in the USA. You should check out your grocery stores and specialty food stores around where you live.

Hi!!! I've started using the peppers in my cooking, as I learn more recipes in preparation for my Honey's arrival. Many grocery stores carry the peppers, but when I am looking for a good price I go to the Cobb Farmer's Market on Spring Rd. or the closest Food Depot.

The west African type would be Vernonia amygdalina related to the American ironweed
