Hello,

1.) We are getting ready to file our Adustment Of Status I485 and we understand that if we file the Employment Authorization Form I765 together at the same time we do not need to pay the fee for the I765. Both of these forms require the same type of documentation such as 2 passport pictures, copies of I94, birth certificate copy, copy of visa etc etc. My question is do I have to provide these things for both forms? So it would be 4 passport photos, 2 copies of birth certificate etc etc?

2.) Also... What on earth is an EAD? I saw on the instuctions for the I765 that as a requirement for I765 or we must provide a ton of other documents with pictures such as a birth certificate with a picture??? I didn't even know they made birth certificates with pictures.

Thanx!

You have misread the requirements for EAD. No need for separate supporting documentation for the I-765. EAD stands for Employment Authorization Document.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

1) Yes they are two Applications, so need their own set of things, and CANNOT share anything. However I do not believe I-765 requires much mor than a copy of I-94 card.

2) EAD is what you are applying for using I-765, study the directions a bit more, attaching EAD to the I-765 is only don if renewing an EAD.

Note Question #16 is (C )(9 ) Based on pending I-485, NOT (A )(6 ) based on K-1
