Gene- If you haven't read the guides here such as "LingChe" as well as "Loto's Guide" then you will be waiting for much longer than you need to. The NVC will tell you you have to wait weeks on end to be able to do anything. This is not the case though. Prepare everything you need to as much as possible because if you are proactive, you can shave weeks off of the waiting time in the NVC :)

Best of luck with the rest of your journey :)

As teya posted read through these guides. Waiting for NVC to "mail" you the documents will add a huge amount of time to your process unnecessarily. You can speed things up considerably by being proactive. Good luck!

Hi all,

I have a NOA2 date of June 23, so it's been exactly 2 weeks. I am following Ling Che's shortcut but I don't know what it means to "send up flares". They are telling me it can be 2-4 weeks. How can I insist on them doing something?

On a side note, I also just noticed that my name is slightly misspelled on the NOA1 and NOA2. The operator at the NVC said that this shouldn't be a problem.

Any advice? Thanks!

I was approved 1 day after you...NOA2. They will give you the standard wait 15 business days. The key here is business days. Today is 10 business days for you. If you don't receive something by next Thursday you should call NVC and they will tell you to send a scanned copy of your NOA2 and e-mail it and they will track down your file.
