CAN VJers VOICE OPINIONs ON IMMIGRATION POLICY?

I noticed a recent thread get locked for review.

I suspect it might have been because some opinions were offered concerning the current policy on immigration.

Quotas and laws change all the time, are VJ'ers expected to agree with the latest immigration policy ....or keep their trap shut?

“You know, Secretary Napolitano, there’s an old saying about your duties on policy, ‘It’s not where you stand, it’s where you sit,’” said McCain, who has called for tighter border security. “What in the world is going on here?”

“First of all, where I sit hasn’t changed my position,” Napolitano replied.

“No, I disagree Senator,” she said.

“So it’s not true that ICE [immigration and Customs Enforcement] has proposed enacting a policy that would prevent law enforcement officers from reporting illegal immigrants identified during the course of traffic related stops or arrests… unless they are convicted felons?” said McCain.

“No,” said Napolitano. “What it has issued guidance on is to prioritize those who are convicted felons.”

“The question was, would it prevent law enforcement officers from reporting illegal immigrants… who are not convicted felons?” pressed McCain.

“No,” said Napolitano.

Not sure why you would jump to that conclusion. I see TOS violations that have nothing to do with the topic of immigration.

You sir, have earned the truth and fact-filled post of the day award.

For those who don't play the playground games with the children here, we get called names like, "passive aggressive" as we try to call attention to those with the playground sensibility. Many people just don't know how to "Keep it real". They are far and few between. I'm glad that you do, good sir. Thanks for the refreshing breeze on a hot day!
