For those who already got their visa..

does it really have an open triangular part on the side? its not completely covered? just wondering!

My Journey:

We met through a study-abroad program in Shanghai, China in August of 2009

We got engaged March of 2010

I received my K1 VISA in 6 months (June-December 2010)

We were married 04/02/2011
I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)

Hehe I just mean the brown envelope is not completely covered.. there's a small portion that is open, like a small triangle. I was not expecting that!

question, upon inspection i notice that there is a very small tear or rip (less than 1cm) on the edge of the open triangular side, which is obviously not my doing because i haven't opened the sealed white plastic yet, is this okay? i am quite paranoid. it probably happened as they were putting the papers in.

also, i just cut a small incision to take my passport out of the white plastic and kept it so that they will know that i have not tampered with it.

this is okay right?

02-23-2018: Sent N-400 Application online

02-23-2018: Date on NOA, retrieved from online account

02-23-2018: Date on Biometrics Appointment Letter (Biometrics Appointment at Jacksonville ASC on March 13, 10:00 a.m.)

03-08-2018: Biometrics complete

04-05-2018: Case status updated - Interview Scheduled on May 10, 2018, 10:15 a.m. :D

05-10-2018: Citizenship Interview - Passed English and Civics Tests, Recommended for Approval! :D 

06-19-2018: Received email and text notification: Naturalization Ceremony Scheduled; waited for letter to be uploaded on online account - it has been set on Wednesday, July 25, 3:00 p.m.

07-25-2018: I am now a U.S. Citizen!

Messy Brown hair --how did u pull it off by getting yr NOA2 approval in less than 1 mth .? Did u pull some strings or know someone -lol .Many of us are waiting for mths . If you are willing to share yr ''secret '' --we would really appreciate it .

Uhm.. really there is no secret.

We made a cover letter with an expedite request because he was going to ranger school and would be unavailable for contacting after september (we filed july). so we just asked if we could receive any update for approval, denial or RFE before september so that we could work on it. then just like that they approved it.. we were so unprepared that it happened so quick that it took us forever to schedule an interview because we didnt have any documents for the interview yet.

just lucky, i guess. you will get yours soon too!!!!
