No. Because when asked to name a country that begins with the letter "U", 72% (that IS a majority) of 12th graders surveyed answered "Yugoslavia". Most of them were Democrats.

People in general do not understand the difference between immigration which is legal and illegal presence, which is illegal. Opinion polls of the general public on political issues is usually mainly for comic relief.

Man that is the truth.

There are a sizable number op people who could not tell you who the Vice president is.... with out thinking real hard. (if they could tell you at all)

I remember once playing Pictionary years ago with some people and the word New Mexico came up.

Her partner quickly drew the southwest along with Mexico. He was pointing to mexico (which she guessed) and then to the only US state drawn in... and she could not connect Mexico-New mexico.

After the time ran out, and she was told the answer.....she said she thought Mexico and New Mexico were the same place.

The fact that she had a college degree is what made it notable.

Care to challenge the facts of immigration's positive impact? Based on the number of anti-immigration posts you make, I'd venture to guess you are a member of NumbersUSA or some other affiliate of the anti-immigration movement, which is ironic considering your spouse is an immigrant and you are an immigrant of Hawaii. No wonder the natives hate foreigners like you.

Let me correct your so called facts on my posts. Your post should read anti-illegal post you make. This is just a post, poll on the sentiments of our citizen, nothing more. Your venture to guess I have any affiliate to any anti- immigration movement is incorrect.

Perhaps the growing anti-immigrant sentiment in our country would change if our government would enforce the current immigration laws and protect US citizens.

I saw one poll where the majority of people thought we needed "more gun laws" Really? Which ones do we have now?

People have no clue...NO CLUE what the immigration laws are. How many people have you met that think if someone marries a US citizen that they "automatically" get a green card or become a citizen? How many times have you seen this nonsense in some movie or TV show? And you are going to ask them if "immigration" is a good thing? They do not even know what "immigration" is.

Public opinion polls of subjects the public generally has no knowledge of are just a joke. I can only hope they did not use money confiscated from MY paycheck to fund it.

If we are going to do these STUPID, FUCKTARDED opinion polls of ignorant people, then I suggest we commission Jay Leno to them, tape them and show them on the tonight show...or give him his own public opinion poll show on Comedy Central.
