Got Kata's police certificate today. No trace. Which is good.

Need to actually get him to work on the rest of packet 3 with me sometime in the next week before he goes back.

He spent all last night playing Portal. :bonk:

Hey my Fiance sent off for his ACPO on Friday. Can I ask how long it took to get yours in? Just a time gauge really. I think his might take longer cause he was born in Scotland and lived there till he was 18. Also did they ever email you or did you just get your cert one day in the mail?

Ok, I shouldn't of said the whole : "Fast lane" stuff before, it just bit me from behind. UGH!!!

I called the embassy, and they did get my package today, but the lady said: "Since we get such little amount of fiance visa aplications here, we book them just ONE DAY A MONTH, so yours is probably good for august. Call again the first week of july to make sure you still fit in august" I dropped dead when I heard this. I haven't been able to see Chris since december due to his new job, and now this???? It doesn't make sense, since they barely get them, they schedule things once a month and go into months and months of waiting, because they barely get them. UGH!!!!!!!

Stupidity to it's core becomes bureaucracy. That's how I see it.

Anyhow, that's me venting... sorry. :(

WHAT?! That's insanity :wow: I am so sorry to hear this. It's frustrating when you come so close and yet feel so far from that proverbial finish line. If I were you I'd try to see if you can somehow speak to someone else and get July at the least. Tell them your wedding is in August I dunno, I'd be the biggest P.I.T.A. (pain in the ####) if I was in your shoes. Feel free to scream, shout and vent in here anytime and keep us posted!

Diana and Chris

I would try calling my Senator/Congress person and have them put in an expedite even at the Consulate stage. I don't think it is reasonable to make you wait til August just because they feel scheduling them only once a month actually that just sounds absurd. It is worth a try to call and see what they can do.

Ugh, that is awful. You have to wait three months?! Search for other VJers who have had to go through the same embassy and compare your experience with theirs. Send messages to some of them and see if they were told the same. And why would you have to wait until July to schedule for August? Why not just schedule you now?

How incredibly stupid and senseless is that!?? I'm so sorry, Diana! That is really ridiculous, and I totally agree with you. This one day a month thing doesn't make any sense.

I simply don't get them. And they were just rude, hung the phone once on me just because. I have seen many times schedules of other people, and they just take a month or month and a half after NOA2 for interview. It seems like they over booked their "once a month" policy this time and now are making people wait an absurd amount of time.

It's completely unfair and unreasonable.

Christopher is going to call them back tomorrow or next week (because we can only call 3 days a week, from 2:00 to 3:30 pm or else they hang up on you). He is going to call because maybe a US citizen has something more to say and they will actually listen. Seems right now that I'm just some poor little guatemalan wanting a visa from them.

And also, Chris said that he is going to come the weekend of the 4th of july, so I would have something to look forward to, bittersweet... We were hopping to hop on the first plane that weekend's saturday.

We will be calling and using any resources we can find to expedite it... I'm into a limbo of non work and lots of waiting starting this june. That doesn't really sound like a lot of fun.

Praying lots too.

Thank you all for your comments. I greatly appreciate your support, it means so so so much!

Congratulations to all who have approved the cases! "

I am sincerely happy for you!!

My question to those who got RFE on 5/10/2011 California Service Center - your new evidence USCiS received? there is an answer from them?? who then approved the case??

I know that they are legally considered the case 2 months ... but this is not a fact ...

I can not wait anymore .... I want to be with my dear :crying:

I am really getting worried now. Contacted the embassy via email again if they received our petition and they still haven't! So apparently the petition that went from NVC to Germany on Monday wasn't ours as it was delivered yesterday afternoon. Or do they take so long to put them into their system? The embassy said it takes up to two weeks to receive the petition from NVC but when I check the timelines it's usually not more than 3-5 days. I wish they'd have it already :(

Hey my Fiance sent off for his ACPO on Friday. Can I ask how long it took to get yours in? Just a time gauge really. I think his might take longer cause he was born in Scotland and lived there till he was 18. Also did they ever email you or did you just get your cert one day in the mail?

I'm not sure ours would be a good estimate for anyone else. We got the expedite service on it, and I'm not entirely sure when it got sent in, since his friend who was authenticating the pictures was the one to send it in. He got an e-mail when they received it, and he called and was able to get the date it was sent out from them, but I'm not sure if that's standard, or part of the expedite service/extra. It just arrived yesterday, no other notice than that.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Anyhow, that's me venting... sorry. :(

OMG... one day a month sounds crazy... Hope you'll be able to have your interview before August...

Anyway, I wanted to congratulate everybody on the new approvals! Hope, we all won't have to wait too long from now on.

I've just sent an inquiry to NVC via e-mail, hope to hear from them soon.
