Well we had our interview on 12/21/11 and we were approved! We were both saying it would be very ironic if the green card arrives on 1/6/12 because that will be exactly one year to the day that we started this whole process. Anyway I just figured I would post an update as we all have been together going through this for the past year! Best wishes to everyone and a happy New Year too! We'll be popping in and out a lot. Still got ROC to do in 2 years :crying:

Congratulations!!!!

We had our interview January 31, and were approved later that day.

Our journey took just over a year, and had many ups and downs. This was NOT an easy process, and you really had to pay attention to details and time lines. However the journey was much easier with the help of Visa Journey and the strong community of people who were willing to help and each stage of the process. Thank you to everyone. To all those starting the process my advice is to read as much as possible because you can certainly save some time and pain by being informed. Also be very patient, the time times commonly are longer than you expect. Good luck and thank you to all.

Hey!! I can't believe I missed to post here when I realized it had been a year from when we sent off the "right" papers with the right "check" back in January '11, all I did was think and make a comment to my hubby about it. Unbelievable, It's the first time since graduation that I've been without working this long! I applied for GC and EAD back in November, and it has been a little of a long wait for me, but it's all good, things are coming along little by little. In the mean while, you can call me crazy, but I'm starting to have to think Spanish twice now (parents make fun of me on skype when I say stuff like: "Uhm, what is it called... you know, that thing... that goes, over that thing?..." my brain is starting to function in english more hahahaha. So now I not only have bad english, but a "not so good anymore" spanish. LOL

I hope you are all having a good year!!

Hey Diana & Chris... silly question but what does EAD stand for? Just got my Biometrics appointment for March 2nd... scheduled for Norfolk, Virginia but since I'm in Honolulu for a while I am able to do it here... thank goodness because I need to get things sorted out to get back to Canada in May to visit my grandson (due April 3). Ya, I know, I'm too young to be a grandma - UGH!

I'm not working either but with all the travel I am looking for online work. Good luck to you!
