Yes, can't wait for Vermont to start approving January!!! I'm working hard on proof, already have more than 100 pages worth of it. All categorized and in nice "OCD order" I wonder how much more I'll have at the end of the NOA1 waiting!

This is my last month at school, I'll miss my high schoolers... and working in general. Won't see much of that (work) for a while. LOL

Congrats to all you CSC approved couples! =)

Love yall,

Dee!

Can you please tell me what documents that we need to collect while we are waiting for the NOA2? from the petitioner and beneficiary's side. These are the ones to be sent to NVc?

kind of confused!! :(

NOA 1 : Jan 19, 2011

NOA 2: May 10, 2011

Medical: July 19, 2011

Interview: Aug 15, 2011

Could somebody please list exactly what is in packet 3?

what needs to be mailed to the embassy before they give you an interview?

Thanks,

Ashley

It depends on what consulate you are going through.

Some send you documents you need, others (like the UK) have them all on a website so you don't even need the paper Packet 3.

In the UK, the documents are:

DS-230

DS-156

DS-157

DS-156-K

While you are waiting, you should have the beneficiary get their police certificate(s) for any country they have lived in for at least six months. These can take a while. You also should make sure they have a copy of their long-form birth certificate.

As the petitioner, you should order your tax transcripts for the past 3 years (you only need the most recent for now, but you need all three later for the AOS), and consider looking into getting an employment verification letter from your work, a letter from your bank (see the I-134 instructions) and make sure you have supporting documentation for any co-sponsors (if your embassy allows them/you are using one).

Another small update for us.

Our case left NVC yesterday, after only spending one day in their hands.

Hopefully that's a good thing.

However, it meant we couldn't get them to update Kata's address.

So, now we'll probably have to use the extortion line at the embassy instead. Ugh.

Hello everyone they approved us on April 29, 2011 and we a hard copy in the mail on May 3, 2011 (no emails texts etc). I have been calling NVC for the past few days and politely asking if they have our file all I get are operators with attitudes who tell me it takes 2 to 4 weeks for them to receive the packet and today the girl says it can take up to 90 days and to check back in 15 working days. Is it normal protocol for them to say this and does anyone know what the usual time frame is for NVC getting the packet from USCIS.

Thanks

K

Yes.

Kata called them (I'm a bit phone-shy, as odd as it is for someone who spends half their life on Skype).

They said they received it 05/04, and told us today they sent it out 05/05.

You can even track the packages sent to the embassy through DHL so you can see when it arrives there.

And then you can call the Department of State to ask when they have the case logged in, when packet 3 was sent, and even get your appointment date that way. At least, you can with London anyways.

Our approval was the 04/27.

NVC got the case on the 05/04.

That's 5-6 business days after the NOA2.

So I'd at least give it that long.

Don't get discouraged by them telling you things.

We were told it could take up to 15 days.

It didn't.

I would guess it should arrive today or Monday.

Just call once a day, and don't fret too much over it.

I'd like to add my timeline to the list of January Filers. :star:

It seems, by all accounts that alot of the K1 approvals for January filers are coming out of CSC. I'm waiting at VSC and although i feel my time is getting closer and VSC seems to be speeding up, the wait is almost unbearable :(

Good Luck and Best Wishes to all January filers and approvals. :luv:

Quick question with regard to preperation of required documentation for beneficiarys interview at US Embassy London, among other things do I need a copy of the complete original k1 application or just the I-129f and i-34...?

Thank you in advance :help:

Thank you for the correction.

I thought it was six months, but if it's twelve, that's fine.

The requirements may be different for different consulates, though. Not sure!

As far as I'm aware, you don't need to have the I-129F, or the NOA1/NOA2 in London.

They don't ask for it at all. You only need the I-134 which is the affidavit of support.

(and of course the other documents the embassy asks for specifically - police records, birth certificate, forms, etc.)

I gave Kata a copy of the whole packet though, so he has that anyways.
