Hi everybody!

We are July 28th filers. CA - Ukraine.

On Dec 28, we were supposed to have our full 5 month o9f waiting.

On Dec 14 we got a RFE.

WE have sent them everything they needed. (urgently, paying ALOT of money)

After a week, we called them, and they said that WITHIN 60 DAYS!!!!! they will let us know IF they got our documents. (Our UPS agent says the USCIS got the docs, and we had used their services before so we kinda dont worry about the fact of the delivery.)

We are shocked that after 5 months of waiting we are told that there are 2 more months!!!!! I know it doesnt mean that on the 60th day they will reply. But during 60 days. But still, within the 60 days souns like craziness.

My question is: did anyone get a RFE? How long after it did they get the approval? Thank you in advance!

Their standard answer is always 60 days. 60 days to get cash your cheque, 60 days to get your NOA1, 60 days to pass your file onto NVC.

It's always 60 days.

Keep faith, ours did not take 60 days. Afte our RFE was accpeted by USCIS, you should get an update that your case has resumed processing (if you are getting updates or tracking your case on the USCIS website). After that, it was about 2 weeks until we got our NOA-2

Good luck

Don't intend tp discourage you, but got and RFE in July, sent what they asked for and we're still waiting. We are actually less than 2 weks from our 5-month date.. But cheer up, it's just a matter of time.

Both of my parents work for the government. When we sent in our petition they let us in on the fact that for the most part, the times they tell us are to keep us from calling and bugging the hell out of them. obviously, that isn't necessarily the case when waiting for the K-1, but probably is the case on things like RFEs, etc.

They said the most important thing to them is trying to hit national goals because if they don't they are answering to much higher powers to be and nobody wants that ######.

Hang in there. Try to stay patient and positive. Your time is coming!! And it's coming much sooner than ours!! :)

xoxo.

I have no specific experience with an RFE (and hopefully will not), but from time timelines I have been reading here, it seems like 2 to 4 weeks from RFE to NOA2. Some of those who got RFE last year might have gotten caught up in that October 3 touch nonsense, which could have caused a long RFE to NOA2 time.

i filed in early july, got an RFE dec 3rd. it took us nearly the entire month of december to get the papers/evidence they were requesting. mailed my response dec 30th, they updated my case jan 3rd saying they were reviewing my RFE response. jan 7th i received the email notification that my petition had been approved!!!!!!!! my response contained 80 pages, i figured it would take them a few weeks to review all of it, but it only took 4 days. don't lose hope or patience, if you mailed in everything they asked for then i'm sure you'll get your response within a couple weeks.
