Never a good idea to make plans for travel before the visa is in hand. Don't do it

The Montreal consulate allowed the USC to be present at the interview but it really didn't matter. SOme consulates do not allow the USC to enter the building. Not sure about Turkey

Good luck

In many areas although the USC is not allowed in the building it helps if they are there in the country as a show of support.

Also no cell phones or other electronics are allowed so he can't call during the interview

yes it NOT a good idea to buy tickets before you have the visa in hand.only then will u have absolution. and i think it would be good

to have your spouse there to show that level of loyalty. but not all consulates allow it. so check with your embassy. good luck

Definitely don't arrange travel beforehand, especially because the interview result could be AP, which means that you wouldn't get the visa right away. I think that for Turkey you go can go with your significant other to the interview, but in my personal situation I didn't go and I am glad because it wasn't necessary. The actual interview itself for Efe was very short and painless.

Is it wise to arrange travel before the visa is issued

does it help if fiance is with you in the interview?

I sent an e-mail to Ankara Consulate and they said, they do not allow USC in the building for an interwiev.
