Point of Entry - Medical cd

When you go through the point of entry, I assume you hand over your medical cd to the CBP when you present your passport?

I remember my old K1 medical and it was in a sealed envelope and had to remain sealed. When I received my medical cd from Knightsbridge Dr's for this visa, the envelope was opened by stapled just to stop the cd inside from falling out, thats all.

Or is this cd just for my records? Im a bit confused!

According to cbp I will get the sealed envelope when my visa is issued.

Yes when u pick up your visa they will give u a sealed envelooe and u give that to the officer at the POE .....good luck

Claudia received a sealed envelope from her doctor but the embassy kept it so we are assuming it will be delivered, along with all our original documents, Monday when she picks up her visa. The only thing she kept was her chest x-ray and that they said we will present to CBP at POE.

Thanks Wayne. I think thats what i have, the chest X ray, its a cd rom. I spoke with Newark CBP this morning and they said it will be delivered along with my visa to me. I must admit, that was the longest hour of my life this morning, ringing the dr in London, the Embassy, everywhere was shut and I needed to speak to somebody. Luckily Newark came to my rescue and put my mind at ease!

I would like to ask what happens when a spouse gives that sealed envelope to the officer at poe? I mean does he keep it or give back to my spouse after checking it?

CBP keeps it and submits it to USCIS (I think) this starts the track for the green card production and notes that the immigrant is now a GC holder.

If they told you to bring the X-Ray and Medical CD, have them handy when you travel. But on my POE they only asked for the sealed envelope. Inside I believe would be the medical record that I brought to the Embassy on the day of the interview. Oh, and they don't give you anything back, just your passport with the CR-1 or IR-1 stamp.

Bring the x-ray but they are not doctors, the cannot read anything other than the report contained in the envelope. Even if you produced the x-ray - they cannot read it. THey don't have doctors on hand to look at the x-ray and determine if you are eligible for entrance
