NOA dated 1/25/11

Fingerprints Appointment: 2/24/11

K-1 visa

I-129F -sent on 20 March 2008

I got my visa on 28 Aug 2008

Arrival to US on 30 Aug 2008

I got my SSN on 26 Sept 2008

We got married on 1 oct 2008

I got my ID card on 15 oct 2008

AOS

3 NOV 2008- I-485,I-131,I-765 sent to Chicago

13 NOV 2008- check was cashed

18 NOV -I got 3 NoA for my papers dated 13 Nov 2008

24 NOV- biometrics NOA

4 DEC- biometrics appointment

13 DEC- RFE (tax papers)

26 DEC, 31 DEC, 8 JAN- biometrics had to be retaken :(

9 JAN - Case processing has resumed

4March- AOS Interview NOA

7 APR- green card interview -approved

I-751- conditions removal Vermont SC

19 Jan -sent the package

21 Jan- the package was received by USCIS (NOA dated 1/25)

28 Jan- check was cashed

Hi guys,

I just called USCIS Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283, inquiring about my biometric appointment (NOA1 dated 1/10/2011). The lady said it is usually 30 days, or I have to call them again next week. So they did scheduled an appointment last Friday and all she could say is my appointment would be in March.

Hopefully, the notice will come in the mail this week.

Can you tell me how you ended up speaking with someone? When I entered in our case number the automated service said that my case could not be located.... :o Please tell me this is normal... It's been over 30 days since our NOA1 date.

Press 1 for English , then 2 for inquire on a case and then press 6 "I lost my receipt number". That will transfer you to a live operator

I entered my NOA receipt number. I don't remember what were the options, but I stayed on the line before a gentleman took my call. He asked a few question pertaining to my inquiry, then he passed the call to the next lady.

In you case, you have passed 30 days. No problem. Keep trying to call the service center.

There is no mail for me today.

Hello Fellow January Filers!

I haven't been on the Forum in FOREVER (that 2 year paperwork break was nice), and now I'm back on here. Sent my stuff in early January (I think Jan 5th) and had a sent next day with USPS. Got my NOA sometime while I was on vacation (Jan 12 or 13) and I now have my Biometrics appt in Grand Rapids on 2/14/11 - what a romantic way to spend Valentine's day, right?

Crossing my fingers for no RFE - but I was sort of lazy and didn't include a tax return, but I included one in the last package. I'm SURE I'll get an RFE now that I've just mentioned it. Any ideas on what they're looking for here, besides the obvious 'are you still married'? We had another much bigger wedding after the quickie wedding and I was sure to include the invitation, thank you card and cards from friends. Then I included a few bills in both our names, a letter from my employer stating my husband is listed under my health and life insurance, pics and travel documents of our trips together. What more could they want?

Good luck to all - it's nice to have people to gripe to about this never-ending process. :wacko:

I read alot that they like to have shared mortgage or lease papers...It looks like from the NOA that you can still send stuff in if you feel like.

I'm not sure how far you all live from your local field office, but when we had problems a couple years ago when we first went through the process, I got alot more accomplished when I went in person -- they get on the phone directly with someone with your file. There's probably a few ways to get success...that's just what worked the best for us and thought I'd pass it along.

Thanks everyone!! I just called and they acknowledged I was over the 30 day timeframe - she put in a request to the local Houston office to send us our info. She said I should have something 30 days.... waiting some more. :blush:

I notice your local office is Houston. We are also Houston and it's been over a month since our NOA1. Is your closest office the one on 290? I guess they are over-booked and can't take any more just yet.

Yay! I got my ASC Appointment Notice today (dd 02/03/2011). Strange to get two mail deliveries today.

I will try for early biometric next week.

I was able to log in to check my case status - mine is under Initial Review.

Under the initial review, there is an instruction/procedure, as follows:

"...If you have filed an I-751, you can expect to receive an appointment notice to appear at an Application support Center to have your fingerprints and/or photographs taken. The timing of your appointment is determined by the number of applicants ahead of you that also need a biometric appointment. We try to schedule biometric appointments as quickly as possible and in most cases you will receive your appointment notice within 30 days of submitting your application. We will send your appointment notice approximately 14 days ahead of your scheduled appointment."

Are you trying with the NOA number or the Biometrics number? The NOA number doesn't work.
